I don’t know exactly why I chose to do that. One reason was to “feel” the hiatus more, to get the whole experience.

The other reason is emotional to me. Twenty one pilots have always been the band closest to my heart, and my all-time favorite. I don’t have such an amazing story as many fellow clique members, whose lives have been saved by the band. But when I was going through an extremely hard phase, I discovered twenty one pilots and they helped me out SO MUCH. Looking back, I feel like as if it wasn’t for them, I would have fallen into depression. Staying away from them during the hiatus was to see how far I’ve come. To see how much I depend on them, and how much they affect my everyday life. Because I know, that whenever I need them, they’ll always be here for us.

It wasn’t out of stubbornness, or a form of complain.

I won't go for a specific  category, just some of my current faves :3

Franz Ferdinand- Franz Ferdinand. An album from back in 2004, of a band that needs more recognition and respect. On the indie-rock side, exciting and makes you sing along and dance alone in your room. I love it. note: even if you're not interested in listening the album, listen to Take Me Out. It's extremely possible that you'll recognize it. I almost had a heart attack when I found it. Ah, the memories.

Everything You've Come To Expect-The Last Shadow Puppets. Simply worth it. Relaxing but addicting. Also featuring Alex Turner from Arctic Monkeys(and Miles Kane), so it will have a familiar voice and feel to it. Kinda vintage, but kinda original and new at the same time. Aesthetically amazing.

Currents-Tame Impala. Psychedelic pop, to everyone new to the category(including myself), it’s so surprising and everything is so unexpected, that it's almost intimidating to listen to. Getting used to it and getting addicted is extremely easy tho. You’ll start questioning if you’re high.

A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out- Panic! At The Disco. BACK TO THE EMO TRINITY. Honestly a great album, I love listening to it and comparing Brendon’ s voice to the latter albums, in this one it sounds so young and kinda uncertain, but it fits to the album perfectly. Energetic and challenges you to sing along. Definitely a rec to those who know panic, but haven't had the full experience yet.
