Having more information than the general public had gotten her this far. Lost somewhere in the Montana wilds. She didn’t know where to go, probably made a wrong turn somewhere. Which was entirely possible because she didn’t actually know where to go. The little car she had comredeered for “Fedral” purposes was not made for the snow. She still felt bad about that but she needed a car and her FBI badge helped convince the poor couple to give her their’s.

Lost in the snow the little car that could finally puttered to a stop. She presses her forehead to the steering wheel and takes a deep breath. She had to stay calm. What did she know. A week ago she was attacked well investigating a string of murders in Seattle. Her attacker was a werewolf. She should be dead but she woke up without a scratch. Thanks to the files on werewolves the bureau now has, she knew her survival meant one thing. She’d been changed. Problem with that is information was limited on what exactly that meant.

Unsure where to go looking for werewolves in Seattle she followed a rumour. Well more than a rumour, an unconfirmed truth that werewolf HQ was in Montana. That an old and powerful werewolf pulled the strings from there. She wanted to meet him. Whoever he was because… well she was curious and where else was she supposed to go to find help.

Not that she was going anywhere right now. Headlights in her rear view mirror gave her hope though. She rolled down her window and peered out at the approaching vehicle. With a deep inhale she took in the new scents. Gasoline, old working parts of the engine… the man smelled of mint, musk and snow. “Hello,” she calls out with a friendly wave, “I’m a bit lost…”

The man nodded like he encountered lost folks here a lot, “bet’cha are, signs been covered by the snowfall. Two turns back will get you to Aspen Creek.” He sniffs the air much like Kadence had moments ago and makes a strange sound. “The Marrok will want to meet you… his house is the biggest. Won’t miss it.”

Kadence having been a specialist on body language before she was a wolf was very good at only letting people see what she wants them too. Kadence told the truth, she had been lost. This wolf had been forthcoming because Kady let him fill in the blanks she left open. She now knew where she was going and that he was a werewolf too. Though the bit about the Marrok and why he’d want to meet her… well she didn’t quite know what to do with all that.

The Marrok could be the title of the old powerful werewolf rumoured to live here. She’s assume that to be the case. What about her scent told this other werewolf the Marrok would want to meet her was still a mystery though. “Alright, my car kind of gave up on me. Could I get a ride… uuhh?” She trails off leaving it up to him to do introductions.

“Mm’ames Clark. Hop in, I’ll get ya there darling” the werewolf, Clark responded opening Kadence door for her as he spoke.

“Thanks,” Kady says with a shiver as she steps out into the wind, “I’m Kady.” The drive in the big truck was quiet but not uncomfortably so. Clark turned up the heat for her and let the radio fill the void between them. He’d glance at her occasionally but that was it. They arrived at a big house in the middle of what could barely be called a town twenty minutes later. She really hadn’t been that far…

Clark hops from the truck leaving it running and rounds the cab with inhuman speed so he can beat Kady in opening her door. “Here you are darlin’ the Marrok’s house. You take care now, you hear?” Clark says softly like he was sharing a secret.
