Love is a Privilege of Youth
Having more information than the general public had gotten her this far. Lost somewhere in the Montana wilds. She didnāt know where to go, probably made a wrong turn somewhere. Which was entirely possible because she didnāt actually know where to go. The little car she had comredeered for āFedralā purposes was not made for the snow. She still felt bad about that but she needed a car and her FBI badge helped convince the poor couple to give her theirās.
Lost in the snow the little car that could finally puttered to a stop. She presses her forehead to the steering wheel and takes a deep breath. She had to stay calm. What did she know. A week ago she was attacked well investigating a string of murders in Seattle. Her attacker was a werewolf. She should be dead but she woke up without a scratch. Thanks to the files on werewolves the bureau now has, she knew her survival meant one thing. Sheād been changed. Problem with that is information was limited on what exactly that meant.
Unsure where to go looking for werewolves in Seattle she followed a rumour. Well more than a rumour, an unconfirmed truth that werewolf HQ was in Montana. That an old and powerful werewolf pulled the strings from there. She wanted to meet him. Whoever he was because... well she was curious and where else was she supposed to go to find help.
Not that she was going anywhere right now. Headlights in her rear view mirror gave her hope though. She rolled down her window and peered out at the approaching vehicle. With a deep inhale she took in the new scents. Gasoline, old working parts of the engine... the man smelled of mint, musk and snow. āHello,ā she calls out with a friendly wave, āIām a bit lost...ā
The man nodded like he encountered lost folks here a lot, ābetācha are, signs been covered by the snowfall. Two turns back will get you to Aspen Creek.ā He sniffs the air much like Kadence had moments ago and makes a strange sound. āThe Marrok will want to meet you... his house is the biggest. Wonāt miss it.ā
Kadence having been a specialist on body language before she was a wolf was very good at only letting people see what she wants them too. Kadence told the truth, she had been lost. This wolf had been forthcoming because Kady let him fill in the blanks she left open. She now knew where she was going and that he was a werewolf too. Though the bit about the Marrok and why heād want to meet her... well she didnāt quite know what to do with all that.
The Marrok could be the title of the old powerful werewolf rumoured to live here. Sheās assume that to be the case. What about her scent told this other werewolf the Marrok would want to meet her was still a mystery though. āAlright, my car kind of gave up on me. Could I get a ride... uuhh?ā She trails off leaving it up to him to do introductions.
āMmāames Clark. Hop in, Iāll get ya there darlingā the werewolf, Clark responded opening Kadence door for her as he spoke.
āThanks,ā Kady says with a shiver as she steps out into the wind, āIām Kady.ā The drive in the big truck was quiet but not uncomfortably so. Clark turned up the heat for her and let the radio fill the void between them. Heād glance at her occasionally but that was it. They arrived at a big house in the middle of what could barely be called a town twenty minutes later. She really hadnāt been that far...
Clark hops from the truck leaving it running and rounds the cab with inhuman speed so he can beat Kady in opening her door. āHere you are darlinā the Marrokās house. You take care now, you hear?ā Clark says softly like he was sharing a secret.
Nodding Kadence smiles unsure why he had spoken in such a manner. It felt a little like a warning but she didnāt feel unsafe. In fact sheād come this far on rumours because a part of her felt sheād be safest here. Approaching the door she hesitates until she hears the truck pull away. Whatever force holding her back from tapping her fist to the door evaporates with the quieting sound of the distant engine. She knocks loud and confident on the door.
Asil: Iām so sensitive iām gonna cry
Bran: Youāll be okay you dramatic bitch
Bran: Whereās Charles?
Samuel: He just went out the back door.
Bran: We donāt have a back doorā¦
Samuel: We do now.
Anna: I canāt believe the heat from the sun traveled 149.6 million kilometers just to melt my fucking chocolate bar.

Anna: You donāt think I can fight because Iām a girl?
Asil: I donāt think you can fight because your in a wedding dress. For what itās worth, I donāt think Charles can fight in that dress either.
Charles: Perhaps not. But I would make a radiant bride.
Samuel: I canāt believe you and Charles broke the bed.
Asil: You two mustāve gotten wild.
Anna: Haha yeahā¦
[The night before]
Anna: I bet you canāt jump high enough to touch the ceiling.
Anna:You're skipping work?
Bran:I called in sick.
Anna:Called who? You're the boss....
Bran:I know, it was a very strange conversation.
