I got this yoghurt at Dave's Supermarket yesterday and loved it! I got coconut and blueberry flavors. I ate the coconut one last night and it was very good and had coconut flakes in it. Another thing I noticed with this yoghurt is that it did not upset my stomach. Usually when I eat something with dairy, I will get very bad stomach pain because I have a sensitivity to lactose. I hope to use this to make a smoothie!
I bought these protein/energy Bounce balls at Trader Joe's and I loved them! I tried the peanut cacao one first and it tasted like whey protein, I believe, with peanut butter chips, peanuts, and cacao nibs. I was expecting the peanut flavor to over power the ball but it mostly tasted like a whey protein bar and was bitter from the cacao nibs. The second one I tried was the super berry one and it was my favorite. It had a different texture, more moist. It was tart and sweet, the perfect flavor! The last I had was the coconut macadamia and that one was more similar to the peanut cacao one, not too much flavor other than the coconut. Overall they weren't bad, I will definitely be buying the power berry ball again.
I tried matcha green tea for the first time today and I am very satisfied by the flavor. Matcha is finely ground green tea leafs so you are getting more antioxidants and benefits from matcha than just a bag of green tea because it’s the full leaf, not just an extraction of the leaf. The mix I bought is made to make it a latte. The flavor tastes like green tea, but has a milky texture. It is not bitter at all, but I think that may be because the mix has a sweeter in it. The problem a lot of people have with green tea is bitterness/burnt taste due to the tea being made wrong/steeped for too long. Always time how long you steep tea and make it as directed by the package if there is one. Overall, I am very satisfied by the mix from Trader Joe’s. Enjoy the Journey!

These are one of my favorite snacks from Trader Joe’s. The bitterness of the dark chocolate and the sweetness of the berry juice create a very delicious balance. A healthy chocolate snack to satisfy a chocolate craving, love it!
On Wednesday, I decided to try the Eternity-Blueberry Wild Child Tiesta Tea I bought. It was very good, reminded my of some of the Teavana blends I have had before. It definitely tasted like blueberries, very satisfying and relaxing to drink at night (it is caffeine free). This was also the first time I’ve tried Blue Agave Nectar as a sweetener instead of honey. It is incredibly sweet and I think I put too much in my tea. It has an almost molasses like taste in my opinion but very good. Overall, both were very good, but I think I will use honey or no sweetener the next time I make it because I think the Agave Nectar changed the flavor slightly.
I found this book for $5 and I am definitely excited to try out some of the recipes. There are 80 recipes and it includes facts about what certain fruits/vegetables provide for you (vitamins, antioxidants). It also gives tips and explains how to cut each fruit/vegetable properly to get the most out of it. I can’t wait to try some out and share them!
I found this tea at my local supermarket and I was very excited about the all natural ingredients. However, I did not look at the actual names of the teas, just the blend, so I didn’t realize that the “Slenderizer” tea was for weight loss. I do not need to lose weight nor do I support teas like FitTea or Bootea that supposedly help you lose weight. This tea, however, just uses green tea which is an all natural way to help you lose wight because it boosts your metabolism and is loaded with antioxidants. I support tea more than coffee because I believe tea has more health benefits and green tea can definitely provide as much caffeine as coffee (maybe even more), especially matcha powder. I will try both of these out and write and update/review on the product!
I wanted to try something different the other day to make my juice sweeter. I decided to add about 1or 1 1/2 Tbsp. of GoGo Squeez cinnamon applesauce. I love this applesauce, but I’m very disappointed in its lack of protein, vitamins, and other key things I look for in the nutrition facts. Recipe below!
1 cup frozen tropical mix (mango, red papaya, pineapple, strawberry, and kiwi) *I did not use kiwi*
1 cup kale
1 or 1 1/2 GoGo Squeez cinnamon applesauce (or any applesauce)
1/4 cup PlantFusion unflavored plant based protein powder

Strawberry Peach Protein Juice
1 cup frozen peach slices (about 3-6 peach slices)
1/4 cup frozen strawberries (about 4-5 strawberries)
1/4 cup PlantFusion unflavored plant protein (optional)
1 1/2-2 cups of water
1 tsp. honey
I love these! They're not vegan or gluten free but they are vegetarian and taste almost exactly like chicken

Mixed Berry Juice
1 1/2 cups of frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries)
1 1/2 cups of kale (optional)
2 Tbsp. or 1/2 scoop of unflavored PlantFusion plant protein powder (optional)
2 cups of water
1 Tbsp. honey for sweetener (optional)
You can use any fruit you want for this recipe, it doesn’t have to be mixed berries because you do get quite a few seeds while drinking it. I always put kale in my juices for extra vitamins but you can also use baby spinach, other greens, or none at all. Also, any protein powder or none at all works too. I prefer unflavored because I don’t like how flavored powders overpower the natural fruit flavor of the drink and I used plant based instead of whey because I am sensitive to lactose and it contains no antibiotics, growth hormones, or steroids. It is gluten free and vegan too. I blended all these ingredients in a Magic Bullet but you could definitely use a normal blender. The Magic Bullet is quick, easy (to clean too), and only makes one serving. This recipe is like all my other juice/smoothie recipes. I just use different fruit combinations for each. Enjoy!
My boyfriend and I decided to make homemade muddy buddies/puppy chow the other day. We used this recipe. I wanted to make it healthier by using dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet, but he does not like dark chocolate so we ended up using the semi-sweet chocolate chips the recipe calls for. I did, however, use all natural, creamy, peanut butter. We used Rice Chex instead of Corn Chex because they are lower in calories and carbohydrates, yet both cereals are gluten free. If I were to change anything about this recipe, I would use dark chocolate chips, only 2 1/2-3 Tbsp. of butter instead of 4 (the chocolate mixture seemed to be too soupy because of the amount of butter), 1 cup of all natural peanut butter instead of 1/2, and 2 cups of powdered sugar because we seemed to always need more when mixing it all up and getting each piece coated.
