Christo knows that the other male hadnât put away his firearm all because of a bullshit excuse but he thanks his talent and fondness for puns (also their striking likeness because really who would want to shoot a splitting image of themselves.) had humored the other enough to make him reconsider or at least postpone killing him.
His fingers grip the box cutter tighter when the dopple ganger makes a move toward him. God only knows what was packed snuggly inside the jacket next to the gun. It was highly likely that tattoo guy had back up plans just in case the bullet thing didnât work, and it would be stupid of Christo to let his guard down. When he simply side steps him and looks at the albums, the small action does make Christo put his own weapon into his back pocket. Sure, this could all be a ploy to put a stake through his heart the minute he lets go of his own pitiful weapon, but he could count on his fast reflexes if needed.
Christo nods, turning around to face the CDs he begins to thumb through his own section. He doesnât argue with tattoo lookalikes words simply because he didnât care that much for either band. He had only brought them up for puns sake. Actually, his tastes leaned more toward groups likeâŚâHave you ever listened to Foals, or Bombay Bicycle Club?â He turns around and grabs the album Holy Fire and examines the tracklist and shrugs, âI have a few theories⌠but iâll keep them to myself for the time being.âÂ
âThis album is pretty good,â Christo offers the CD to the other male without looking at him. âAnd you and I both know that there are people who hate vampires and want us all dead. Innocent or not.â
If he was being honest with himself, Victor really didnât want to pursue this job. For one, it made him feel more like a hitman than a Slayer. The money was also comically unnecessary. Heâd been set with a stable financial status for the rest of his life for a couple years now â making smart investments early on had, quite literally, paid off for him.
The minimal information he was informed about with who he was on the hunt for was also disconcerting â sometimes there were special cases. Hell, his best friend, a halfling, was a prime example of that; whoâs to say his spitting image wasnât one of those cases? Heâd proceed with caution, feel the situation out and ask a few questions without the looming threat of the pistol.
Skimming the tracklist on the album heâs handed, he nods. âIâve heard a little of Foals. Iâm not crazy for them.â Offering it back as he starts again, âNever heard of Bombay Bicycle Club.â
He browses some more for himself, pondering the Christoâs words. Vic really couldnât blame him for keeping the theories to himself, but he can toss a question and a fact out to gain a little more knowledge on this guyâs background.
âIâve actually been really feeling this group called PVRIS lately.â He pulls a few albums out here and there, admiring the artwork of some and skimming the song titles on others. âThereâs gotta be some reason besides that. What, are you from a royal family or something? Some type of vampire coven?â

Go for it. Whether it ends good or bad, it was an experience.

( Letâs take a look at your 5-day forecast! Monday will be a mild day. There will be a high of temporary joy and a low of crushing pessimism. Watch out for those road conditions. )
â Peppermint Winter
âI have plenty of coordination.â Anthem felt his voice go low, indignation filtering in. Â Indignation that had no place in the conversation though, seeing as the young man before him was really just trying to be helpful. Â No, the frustration was really aimed at Anthem, himself. Â He just didnât like admitting he sucked at something.
However, suck he did and well, that just made him curl in on himself a slight bit. Â He was distracted from his armadillo like actions though as his companion wiggled his foot. Â Laughter snuck out and the prince couldnât help but laugh. Â âI have ankles too. Â Just not very good ones it seems.â
âAhemâŚI ⌠Anthem.â What a strange moment for him to have forgotten how to introduce himself properly.  âPlease donât make fun of my name like most other people do.  I figure you should know it though since this conversation seems to be continuing into ice skating lessons.  Which, honestly - how can I repay you?â
The manâs affronted attitude brought a tiny smile to Victorâs face. He could sympathize with the guy, no matter how discourteous heâd initially been. Ice skating was a sport like any other and if Vic knew anything, it was that you had to practice, practice and practice some more. Though he knew his way around the ice, the tatted male wasnât nearly as polished as the real pros when it came to gliding along in their skates.
Victorâs grin widened when his equally as tall compadre laughed. It looked like he was finally warming up to Vic. Good!
He was about to open his mouth to make a somewhat suggestive joke about how even if his ankles were weak, that didnât mean other parts of him were when the man introduced himself. The name wasnât one heâd ever heard of before, but then his own wasnât entirely all that common in Korea either.
âWouldnât dream of it, Anthem,â He let his foot drop, righting himself again and continued. âMy nameâs Victor, also known as your new coach apparently. And I wouldnât say no to a free meal sometime â your treat, of course.â
my aesthetic is that time on icarly when Spencer signed up for a dating website and his self introduction was just a sixteen minute video of him eating cereal with no talking or anything

â A Happy Accident
As the woman disappeared around the corner, Jongdae shrugged his shoulders and kept at the task at hand. It was well-known, or at least it was to him, that this part of the city wasnât exactly the safest place to be at night. While the sight of a woman running was alarming, it, unfortunately, wasnât unheard of. He wouldâve offered his assistance, had the woman been screaming, or actually being chased by someone. She looked shaken up, but not necessarily panicked.
Halfway through his masterpiece, in the back of his mind, he knew he heard the sounds of a fight, but pushed it aside as nothing. Again, it wasnât the most surprising thing to encounter a scuffle around here. Jongdae ignored the ruckus and continued outlining a particular section in a bright, neon green. A particular song that he loved, but hadnât heard in a while, started playing, and he turned up the volume, humming along as green paint particles formed a cloud in the air around him.
He was so immersed in his work, that he didnât notice when a figure appeared behind him. The first thing to catch his attention was a blur flying past him, followed by a loud thud as a man collided with the wall. Jongdae gasped and pointed his spray can at the man, mistakenly identifying him as the source of the danger, until he caught the second stranger moving perilously closer to him.
âStay back!â Jongdae flipped the can around, brandishing the bottom as a makeshift blunt object. âStay the fuck back, or else!â
Victorâs back throbbed from the impact he took to the wall. It wasnât anything he wouldnât heal from but that didnât stop the disadvantageous ache he now had. Had the situation been anything but what it was, Vic wouldâve found it laughable how the oblivious young man was now suddenly caught up to speed with the situation at hand. From the looks of things though, he hadnât quite discovered the vampâs fangs alongside his menacing air.
With his brows furrowed with determination, he rolled to the stake that had fallen a few feet away with his fall and rose, moving quick to settle this once and for all. The guy was vulnerable with nothing but a piece of shit spray can and he raced to tuck his smaller stature behind himself when he saw the vamp readying to lunge forward. Unfortunately he wasnât quite fast enough and watched with a steely gaze as he was drawn into the arms of the enemy. He needed to improvise and fast.
One of the tall manâs favorite past-times when it came to the undead supernatural was bringing up the show heâd hated almost as much as they did. Buffy was among the large roster of vampire films and shows that were unfavorable to the real life creatures themselves. Most claimed it insulting; that the creators of it molded their lives into some unrealistic and inaccurate portrayal of vampirekind alike. Vic was banking on this man being one of those critics.
His mouth upticked at the corner, smiling as he spoke to the fellow human between them. âYou ever see Buffy, man?â The evidence was right there in the roll of the vampâs eyes. He sneered about how the concept of vampires with or without souls was ludicrous, that the show restricted the truth about how every one of them was different with whether or not they could tolerate the sun and whose idea was it to make them appear like underground rats with all the sewer scenes. Victor countered back. Despite the time that had passed since the show initially aired, there was so much that the show correctly depicted it left him intrigued to know more about the creators themselves.Â
The casual, but very relevant topic, left the threatening creature distracted just long enough for Vic to find an opening, his voice low and rushed as he pulled the stranger toward him, âThen trust me when I say now is the time to put your movie skills to life.â In a matter of seconds, heâd exchanged the stake for holding the smaller man to him â keeping him at a safe enough distance for him to stake the vamp and be pushed back toward the mouth of the alley had anything went wrong. âNow!â
