the return of moriarty

It was early on a Wednesday in late November when I told you how unhappy of a person I am. It was ironic really because I told you at a time when I felt nothing but happiness. You asked me if I had ever been in love and I said no because I didn’t know. At least I thought I didn’t and then I remembered what you said. When you love someone it’s the worst feeling in the world. It’s the worst pain, the worst sadness, the worst feeling in the world. I knew that feeling and knew I had been in love. You told me not to love you because you would break my heart, but truth is, you would break my heart whether I was in love with you or not. When the person who makes you happiest leaves you, you’ll be heart broken, despite being in love. I knew that feeling and knew I was falling in love. But it was late on a Tuesday in early December when I realized how unhappy of a person I am. Which is ironic because I was coming off the best week of my life. You told me to stay positive but it’s so hard when you have so few positives in your life. At least I thought I did and then I remembered you. I remembered falling asleep and waking up next to you and that’s the best feeling in the world. I remembered that this is just the beginning and we have so many more chances to experience the best things in this world. I knew that feeling and that I had been in love. You told me not to fall in love with you because you would break my heart, but truth is, you would break my heart whether I loved you or not. Because you make me happier than anyone and one day you’ll leave, but until then I’ll be happy knowing that feeling and knowing I’m falling in love.
