Max and Gerd starred in Marianne Enzensberger's 1984 film 'Der Biß' in which they play (what I assume to be) a Love interest and a non-binary vampire and a Guitarist in the underground scene respectively On the topic of Enzensberger, Gerd revealed to Max that Enzensberger used to have a crush on him and even compose a song called "Max is a Virgin" after he 'broke her heart' (The Details of the heartbreak are not known) I actually sent a message to Enzensberger about the song but she hasn't said anything back I think she's busy with Slow Boat to China (Which Gerd is also in!)
Max Goldt slipped his disc in 1984 cos of How he was making music he was like on the floor I think I have a picture from the DdhS booklet of his technique (not sure what year it's from though)
IM PRETTY SURE DURING THEIR AROMA PLUS DAYS They entered a contest and won so I think their prize was either money or thwir music going on a record Which became Liechtenstein??? Or No I think it was the Jokes/Rock'n'Roll LP because That looks a bit more professional than Liechtenstein Oh I'm not sure!
About a few years after their last album (I think Goldt was already a Titanic columnist at this time) Max Goldt and Stephan Winkler (produced the Foyer song 'Dein Kuss war Heimatkunde') formed the group Nuuk and released their album Nachts im schwarzer Seilbahn nach Waldpotsdam. Herrliche Sonne also has some additional Nuuk Tracks (My fave Nuuk songs are Unheimlich dick, Drei Tasten, and Reprise)
A few Foyer songs on the DdhS album were rerecorded (I think they were all live songs) in 2018 with Stephan Winkler producing and even Gerd sings on it (Der Europa-Docht) I think Goldt was pushing 60 and Pasemann was in his late 60s when they did these re-recording sessions
In 1985 while they were under their contract with the WEA (They get out of it around 1986 and join Fünfundvierzig) they went to Studio Hansa to record "Mein lila Reisebügeleisen" Around this same time Siouxsie and the Banshees were recording their track 'Cities in Dust' I forget exactly what Goldt said It was something like "We could hear that BEAUTIFUL Siouxsie guitar playing down the stairwell While I was stuck singing some STUPID song about how much I wanted to bügeln, bügeln, bügeln! But anyway I am fond of the song so I am putting it on the compilation album"
Almost all of the tracks (Not including bonus tracks) from Ein Kuss in der Irrtumstaverne were included in herrliche Sonne, except for Frauen in Frieden und Freiheit My guess is that FrFrFr sounds a bit underproduced than the other tracks I mean it's sandwiched right between Senf drauf! (Not sure how to explain it It's very like Latin ???? You gotta hear it to understand what I mean) and Dame Anton (rock-ish track, inspired by T.Rex, or atkeast the 'Yea-Yea-Yea" choir is) Whenever I get to it It's like Woah what the Hell happened It's like Cold water to your Face but I love FrFrFr it's a nice song I think I'll listen to it tomorrow
Goldt used to be an Exchange student He studied in England I think in England is when he had a girlfriend named Nicola and England was also where he had his first sexual encounter with a man
