They just voted onto the continuing resolution with Republicans. Now social security and Medicare can be cut!!!

A big idea in fascism is maintaining some idea of "normal" the word fascist literally means a bundle. It means for a group to be homogeneous.

Conservatism is the idea of holding onto or bringing back and past political system.

Fascism often is created with strange false ideas of the past. It tries to get people on board by inventing a past that never existed. This is the bait that traps conservatives into the fascist mindset.

Effectively the conservative is left no longer advocating for old values, but instead something else only based on reacting to random events trying things together to build a new narrative and ideology.

This is a large driver of fascism.

This is how you get a party who claims to be for traditional values yet led by Trump and Elon. The possibly most adulterous people in politics to date.
