Can’t sleep because my thoughts are racing.

Well it’s less of a race and more of a chase.

Actually, less of a chase and more an escape.

I just can’t seem to break away.

Something like Quicksand.

No sudden movements.

Reach for dreams and you just might lose em.

What the point in learning to swim,

if you don’t know how to drown?

Imma just tread lightly, float above this water.

No need to direct my energy.

As long as I’m afloat.

I’m good.

I only leave if I know where I’m going.

Cause if I don’t how will I know that it’s worth it?

Am I way too hyper aware not to care?

Or do I care too much to not be aware?

Philosophy was always my strong suit.

That’s why I’m often depressed.

Too much time in my own head.

Too much time in my own bed.

I still wonder.

Wonder about me.

Wonder about us.

Lack any type of trust.
