It is odd.. But it’s kind of a sweet song. I mean, think about it.

You can love without having a baby. And having someone baby doesn’t mean you always love them. I don’t know. I find it weird.

That awkward moment when, You’re Having My Baby come on the radio…

“No, who said I was dating them? Our fellow students voted for us to be prom king and queen, that is all”

“Well you have to awkwardly dance with them and knowing the girls here she is going to hit on you.”

“If they’re 16 or older it is not illegal”

“You wanna be the guy dating a high schooler?”

“You’re an amazing woman. I couldn’t stop.” he chuckled.

“Oh well then I’d have to find a high schooler to be my queen which is weird for me but oh well”

“Also gross and kinda illegal.”

“It’s been p-pretty uneventful.” She shrugged a little. “I-I’ve just been working… I-I was r-really glad when you c-called me though..” Elizabeth admitted with a light blush. “I-I’ve been th-thinking about you a lot lately..”

He reaches a hand out to place it on hers. “I’ve been thinking about you a lot too.”

“You would” he winked before laughing. 

“I can’t. I’m a teacher.”

“Maybe I can win Prom King”

”Who’d be prom queen?”

“I-I’ll keep that in mind.” She smiled, before the waiter came back. Elizabeth smiled weakly at the man before stuttering out her order, turning her attention back to Ryan as soon as she was done.

Orders his own meal and grins back at her as the waiter walks away. “So. How has your week been?”

“But I am the prettiest tool in the shed”

“Yeah... Still.”

“I could probably pull that off, I mean, I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed”

“Not something you brag about, Trevor.”

“Y-Yeah? M-Maybe I’ll take a turn at being your teacher s-some time.” She smirked playfully, biting the corner of her lip as she played with his foot under the table. 

“I’m up for learning. Any time you want.” he grinned. He kept playing with her foot until the waiter came up to take their orders.

“Age is just a number, my friend”

“I mean you also would have to be a student.... but... we can say you were held back... a lot”

“Can I be a hall monitor”

“You’re like... 10 years too old for that job.”

“N-Nothing too fancy. Fried chicken, meatloaf, the n-normal stuff.” She giggled a little, nodding her head. “As l-long as you’re okay with it.” She smiled, stretching her leg out to let the toe of her heel to tap the toe of his shoe.

“That’s pretty awesome. I can barely make pasta.” he laughed. “I’m perfectly okay with it.” he smiled. He felt her toe touching his and moved his foot against hers starting up a little footsie game.

“I-I can’t stand boxed food anymore..” She giggled shaking her head. “I-I’ve been taking c-cooking classes actually.” Elizabeth smiled a little nodding her head. “Y-Yeah? O-Okay… But you can’t get m-mad if I don’t like it.” she smiled.

“Really? Learn any good recipes?” he grinned at her. “No worries. It’s understandable if you don’t.” he shrugged.
