ＯＦ　ＥＡＲＴＨ　．　．　．

a  wave  is  given  to  his  manager  as  the  other  departs  and  suchan  once  again  finds  himself  alone  on  the  set.  well. alone  might  not  really be  the  right  word     ▬▬▬     in  fact  the  studio  seems  to  be  busier  than  usual.  he  had  seen  the  ratings  on  the  latest  episode  that  had  aired  and  they  had  been  pretty  good.  maybe  everyone  else  had  seen  as  well  and  the  desire  to  perfect  the  next  one  has  made  them  a  bit  nervous  ?  a  glance  is  given  to  the  script  he’s  carrying  as  he  makes  his  way  down  the  hall  towards  one  of  the  lounge  areas.  his  scene  is  scheduled  for  later  so  he  still  has  some  time  to  work  on  his  lines.  memorizing  them  is  nothing  new  to  him  but  last  minute  practice  is  never  a  bad  idea.

the  door  is  carefully  pushed  open  and  he  blinks  a  few  times  at  seeing  someone  else  sitting  on  one  of  the  couches.  he  doesn’t  recognize  them  either,  but  then  again  new  characters  are  always  being  introduced  so  he  wouldn’t  be  surprised  if  they  were  one  of  them.     ❛❛   oh—  sorry,  i  didn’t  realize  this  room  was  already  being  used  !   ❜❜     he  can  study  just  fine  with  others  around  but  maybe  they  don’t  want  him  to  intrude.

the azure gaze of gaia had settled upon the script that had been previously handed to her by her manager. eyes were meticulously trailing along the words she needed to memorize whilst her lips silently mouthed them, aiding in the process. this was the first day on set for the aspiring actress, yet her nerves still seemed somewhat at bay — perhaps due to her being able to practice within this room, isolated from the hustle & bustle outside. the musician's agency had pushed her quite intensely to deliver an outstanding performance; as always — it shouldn't be any less than perfect. at that thought, gaia couldn't help but sigh out, yet continued to memorize her lines. it wasn't a big role, though, could potentially help launch her acting career.

"hm?" head of brown locks perks up whilst catching movement from the corner of her eye, scanning over the stranger's features. "oh! no, no, no! it's fine — " a grand smile spread across her lips whilst moving to the side, patting the space on the sofa next to her. " — please, you can sit here if you'd like! it's probably extremely busy out there, no?" she'd rather have someone by her side whilst having to study this script; it somehow helped her productivity. whilst he stood there, crystalline irises focused upon his features before snapping her fingers in unison with a sudden realization: "you're also an actor in this series, right? i'm very new! this is my first day — i'm gaia, by the way!"

a proud smile spread across her features at the compliments of the other woman, letting her crystalline irises flutter into crescents. "yes! i've done them all myself!" hands were held towards the other demonstratively, spreading her fingers to showcase the plethora of golden rings that adorned her long fingers. "it's always been a hobby of mine & i've also recently started selling them." though, before she continued — a small chuckle fell from her lips at the other's comment. "i can relate to that quite well, actually! i'm very clumsy when it comes to anything else . . . you wouldn't believe the amount of bruises i find due to stumbling into things!" it was true, if the goddess wasn't hype focused on something — she would bump into every thing in her way. "but . . . i could show you how to make jewelry if you'd like? from one clumsy person to another!"

what a predicament he'd found himself in. the weight of his combat boot crushes the man's neck further, wishing the other would just die already. gaia had seen enough and although he wasn't shy about his hobbies he didn't make a point to kill in front of her. dark eyes flicker toward her, tilting his head just slightly.

"why? have you gotten shy in front of me?" the divinity's features seemed devoid of emotions as her eyes found themselves stuck upon the writhing figure of ghost's latest victim. without an ounce of shame or restraint would she take crouch in front of them, curios eyes tracing the pained features of the other. "will you suffocate him like this?" there had always been something about death that called to her; perhaps it was how closely she dances with it; how she should be long dead or perhaps, it was something dark & hidden deep within her core. she didn't know & slowly, she stopped trying to find an answer.

"do you not like me watching?" arms are crossed above her knees as she tilts her head back to meet his gaze, lips twitching into the faintest smile.

"no." the divinity swallowed, instinctively would one of her hands come up to her forearm & rub at it in a somewhat soothing manner. a habit out of nervousness. she hated having this conversation; not because she disliked confiding in chiyo but simply because it meant acknowledging that this rat existed within the same reality as both of them. "it's more complicated than that." a small sigh is pushed between taut lips, eyes staring off to the side whilst trying to ponder of what exactly to say. he was like her. but she was not like him. he was not a deity, but they were still alike.

"he's born from the same energy that i was but . . . he's not a deity. he's something far more dangerous." a pause. "but i don't think explaining what he is would help explain who he is . . . he is my enemy. he's under the command of an entity who seeks for my shell — something i must prevent if i want this world to remain as it is now."

brows furrow as he watches her bust through the front door , arms full of tiny bits and bobs - a look of glee on her expression . it's like she knows he'd be infuriated . a sigh of ❛ oh my fucking god ❜ escapes him before all else - knowing there was no point halting gaia before she made it to the counter top to spread the disarray she called 'trinkets' out in front of him . shoulders fall deflated as amber eyes scan over the 'loot' before raising to meet gaia's face .

"would that be a bad thing . . . ?" crystalline irises were fixated upon the plethora of trinkets, fingers carelessly shuffling through them in order to spread them out. "in my defense, it wasn't quite in the trash . . . i found it beside it." would that help her case? certainly not by the way that seth has been viewing her finds with disdain. brows furrowed for a second, a hint of panic within the cracks of her features whilst she held her arms up defensively. "but it's clean! i swear, i've disinfected them all!"

though, it wouldn't take long before the expression of glee returned & a cat-like grin spread across plush lips. a skilled hand descended upon the pile before picking out a piece of amber amidst the silver & grey. the divinity would hold it between her thumb & index finger before raising it to the other's eyes with a small squint. "i found this one & it reminded me of your eyes." she commented with a small smile. "maybe i could make a necklace out of it . . . or a ring?" the stone was discarded upon the table once more, eyes peering to the man. "would you wear jewelry like that?"
