I LIVE FOR IT!! that's not even a hc to me anymore, he was taught how to play it by his dad at 5 or 6 (when his hands were big enough to reach the cords) and always practice alone after waking up

I have the hc that he used to play every Sunday in church with his older brothers and sisters, they would participate in every course the adult made (that's how he learned how to sing, he and rachel have hundreds of pics dressed all formal singing while marco played guitar)

(lore drop) when I was a baby my dad took a pic of me crying my eyes out while his guitar was above me (he was holding it ofc), so I think that's a perfect portrait of lance's dad and his relationship with his youngest son by music, sir McClain was a musician in his heart that chose to gave up music to take care of his most precious thing= his family, and Lance, unpretentiously using music to never forget and stay connected to his loved ones, and when older (at earth) reconnecting with his old father through their love of music.
