we are reaching dangerous levels of thinking abt skirfluff rn
w/ some fun hindsight I'd probably write this as being pretty debilitating on both sides of their friendship. At some point they just gotta get this shit out or it'd tear them apart. (literally for skirby. maybe) I think skirby both purposefully overlooks stuff but is also genuinely oblivious as fuck. His personal frame of reference for "normal friendship" is nearly nonexistent. Unlike his idea of openly-affectionate relationships, where the only thing he can look to is Kirby's (very affectionate person) relationships. Although I think they would both get to a point where they're doing death-note-style over analysis of literally everything. so.
