Rivera grew up in a small village of Kitsune to a loving father and a mother that couldn’t care less for her. Although her mother constantly berated and verbally abused Rivera, her father was always there to comfort her and apologize for her mother’s behavior, though it didn’t do much for her. Rivera was close with her father, who taught her to play many instruments, but her favorite was a Nohrian instrument he brought her from one of his journeys. Rivera also had an older brother who didn’t speak much, but acted hateful towards her when their mother was around. One morning when Rivera woke up, she found that her family was gone, and almost everything in the house had been taken as well. Rivera came to the conclusion that her family had abandoned her, and ran away from her village, fearing her own kind from then on and expecting betrayal from any Kitsune she came across. After wandering for several years, Rivera found a sustainable life on the streets of Shirasagi, where she continued to live up to the events of the games. Being accustomed to life as a street urchin in her recent years, the kitsune has learned to gather food and find shelter anywhere in the capital, though hesitates to ask for or accept help from citizens. No matter what path Corrin takes, Rivera will be recruitable.
