Vmin out there being kinky as fuck in public spaces like 50 shades of Kpop, and ya’ll want to keep bombarding my inbox with Jikook? (I’m fine if you ship them but JIMIN PUT TAEHYUNG ON A LEASH AND THATS ALL I CARE ABOUT). 

In its full, non-gif glory, it’s just. So much, guys. 

1. Jimin purposely being a brat (throwing away Taehyung’s bottle) and pretending to resist, and then just going limp and letting Taehyung do whatever he wants? 

2. Taehyung hitting with real intent (the palm is open—safe practices, friends!—). Like sometimes idols “spank” each other as fanservice, but if you pay attention they’re actually hitting the thigh or the hip or over clothing, so it’s actually less intimate than what it first appears. But... no. Taehyung yanks up Jimin’s sweatshirt to clear space and hits directly over Jimin’s cheek, enough that Jimin (Playfully? Poutily?) rubs over it. 

3. It could’ve even escalated further?? At 0:10 Jimin crosses his arms over his chest, and at 0:53 Taehyung tries to open Jimin’s legs but he goes limp and resists. What did Jimin think Taehyung would do if he gets close to his chest or his open legs....

4. I literally can’t over-emphasize how comfortably, possessively, and easily Taehyung maneuvers Jimin’s body about. Like, what is personal space. What is separate bodies. And that level of comfort is definitely not just a “cultural thing,” all the boys are touchy, but their touchiness isn’t so demanding and there are pretty clear boundaries—can you imagine idk, Yoongi or Jungkook just putting their hands so freely on Jimin’s legs and arms and hips and not even getting a little bit shy about it? (also Jimin is so flexible, what the hell. He doesn’t even need yoga, I have so many bad thoughts about this). 

5. This straddles off-and-on camera, which is... interesting. ISAC is obviously filmed and public, but there’s no one near them at that moment (looks like break?) so this was a fancam. Do they just not care? Is it exhibitionism? I swear sometimes their actions read like they forget the cameras are there (Jimin or Tae koalaing at the Today Show 200221), and others like they really enjoy the camera, like the recent Run ep 122 where Tae purposely annoys Jimin and smiles so widely when Jimin pushes his nose and face against his neck. 

6. Clock their smiles, guys. They put on their hoods afterwards, but Jimin’s smile at 0:26 is enormous, and so is Tae’s at 0:56. They’re having the times of their lives.

Friends is the subunit song by Jimin and Taehyung (co-written and co-produced by Jimin) from Map of the Soul : 7 which was released in February 2020. Interestingly enough, the Korean title is actually 친구, a word that is only used for friends of the same age, which is how ARMY figured out that it had to be their subunit prior to the release of the album.

On a very surface level, Friends is about the bond between Jimin and Taehyung recounting different little stories over the years, including the now famous dumpling incident which was first presented to us as a conflict that merely took up a few hours. Actually though it was a conflict that grew big enough that Jimin and Taehyung barely spoke to each other for two weeks and it culminated in Jimin getting drunk with Yoongi and then meeting Taehyung at a park at 4 am to make up. Yes, the same park at 4 am that Taehyung and Namjoon sing about in 4 O’Clock. That song, like many suspected, really was about Jimin and Taehyung as well.

But, while Friends might seem simple and fun on the outside, especially due to the upbeat melody and anthem like chorus, I think there is far more to it than meets the eye. Stella Jang, who co-wrote the lyrics, said in an interview with K-Pop Herald that BigHit sent her an email which contained the song as well as long stories about Jimin’s and Taehyung’s bond and based on that she was supposed to write short lyrics. She also had a friend, who is an ARMY, help her truly understand the depth of their bond. That alone to me shows that this goes far deeper than most might assume, and others wish for it.

This verse for me is very interesting, especially since Jimin reclaims a nickname that people used to call Taehyung by which he hated. Instead Jimin turned it into something endearing, something that now belongs to them instead of others. It’s also noteworthy that that specific line is in English, not Korean, and he says my alien, so basically telling the listener that he takes some kind of claim over Taehyung, connects them in a way that anyone would understand, and unmistakably highlights that he’s the only one to call him like this because Taehyung is special to him, much the way you’d call someone dear to you/someone you love by an endearment such as ‘my darling’ or ‘my love’.

Then it’s Jimin’s turn to present the award to Tae and they came across “Meant to be” award and got so confused.

Yet look at this moment after Tae accepted the award said “Meant to be”… and looking at Jimin… My heart…. 😭 Jimin’s shy smile back to him too while touching his hair.

In the year of the soulmates and where the amount of Vmin has been truly exceptional it is really really difficult to pick out any favorites. But even so I am going to try! Completely based on my own opinions of course and definitely missing moments that I don’t have good photos or gifs for or simply forgot about. But forgive me, anyone would be overwhelmed with all the Vmin moments we have gotten in 2020!

When Taehyung lost they shook their hands again.

But Jimin did not wait long to betray Taehyung in return… He said something to him just before revealing their teams :

And then when Team A had to go in front of everyone… Jimin looked back at Taehyung with a smile and Taehyung made a surprised-betrayed face 😂 So maybe Jimin lied to him that they were on the same team to tease him back?

MOTS ON:E Day 2 | 2020.10.11 | Dynamite 🧨 

I have talked about this kind of ask somewhere before especially about the 2019 BTS memories where jikook had that moment and why to me, i wasn't moved. Jungkook carried Yoongi the exact same way he carried Jimin almost like he's flexing his muscles. The skinship between the members is no joke. I watched a Jihope analysis video some time ago and i tell you it was pretty much intense.

Anyway, I'm of the personal opinion that vmin aren't really dating. Probably just testing the waters and even if they are, what's the big deal if they mantain skin ship with other members? For a group like BTS, this kind of thing is very important because it's easy for fans to draw conclusions. If two members aren't communicating enough especially if the fans know them as people who were very close before, rumors begin to spread that they had an argument or they hate each other and that isn't good for BTS image so they would have to get used to seeing their partner being clingy to others especially in front of the cameras because it's something that will keep on happening as long as BTS is still together. The couple involved would have to be really really understanding which is why personally, I can't think of the possibility of any relationship in Bts but if they can surmount that obstacle, then there is a possibility of two people dating within the group.

Also, I wouldn't say Vmin are mysterious. Not at all, they are just much too private for people who say they are best friends. In fact, instead of being mysterious, they have been subtly trying to show people how deep their bond goes but the thing is, people don't see that. And that is good in a way because they can get away with mostly anything and no one makes a big deal about it.

Let's take a look at their recent moment in Bts the soop where Taehyung woke Jimin up and the two cuddled together rather intimately. Taehyung even giggled when Jimin pulled him closer or something and it seemed like he would have stayed longer cuddled like that with Jimin had Hoseok not shown up. As soon as Hoseok entered, Taehyung just lay across Jimin's body. That position was enough to make Hoseok leave them alone. Later, he was massaging Jimin's back. Those moments would have made a ruckus if any of the bigger ships did it but then I went on Twitter, Instagram and eighty percent of account holders where commenting about how great their friendship is. How they cuddle like two besties making the whole thing look normal. It was a bit funny to me because I know this is all thanks to the friendship tag they have been labelled with.

The thing is the closeness between these two has been right there in front of us but people don't see it or even if they see, they choose to ignore it. A big example is Taehyung's Christmas duet which he only wanted to sing with Jimin but couldn't because according to his producer, the song was inappropriate for two men to sing. This should have been a secret but Taehyung was so frustrated he had to take to vlive to express his frustrations.

Even friends is seen as something that was fake. That it isn't real and people can justify their claim because they would ask themselves. Why didn't they keep their promise and do a vlive together but what we haven't considered is that It should be suspicious enough because what's so difficult in doing something as simple as a vlive unless you have something to hide.

A lot of people are comfortable with the idea that Vmin hate each other when it's not the truth at all and if we haven't noticed, things are getting more obvious with Vmin. They are getting more bolder with their affections for each other than they were before. They are doing things that are giving people the creeps especially with this soulmate thing. They have never been stuck in one situation. They transformed from being strangers, aacquaintances, friends, best friends, unique best friend and now soulmates. They have made people confused with time because what you see isn't what you get. Things weren't that intense between them before but it became a gradual process as the years went by and now they've gotten to a stage where people are getting conscious of them. It shocks us because It's like they came out of nowhere but what we didn't realize is that they have been there all along. No one noticed it but we are seeing it now and it's probably because they have created that friendship label which makes them get away with mostly anything. So when they are doing these eye raising thing they do, no one takes it seriously anymore because it has become just one of those things that these two best friends do.
