Can you please do an tlk Aethelstan imagine where the reader was basically raised by Uhtred, Sihtric, and Finan, and she is a brave fighter but also very kind hearted and shy. You can take the plot from there, thank you!
Thank you for the request. I'm gonna start writing in a few days and hopefully you'll like it :)

Summary: Aethelstan confesses his love for you after some long dreadful years.
Warnings: description of violence, injuries and blood, child abandonment, the rest is fluffy
Author's Note: I know I said there's gonna be a few days sorry. But I hope you enjoy this piece :)
The road was painful. Blisters had started to appear on your hands from holding the reigns of your horse for so long and your back was cracking constantly.
"Can we rest now? I'm tired" Finan and Sihtric looked at you questionably, not entirely sure if it was true or if you played another one of your games.
After a Dane attack that wiped out your entire village, Lord Uhtred and his men stumbled upon you, a scared and hungry mess. Originally, they wanted to drop you off at a nunnery that was three days away but decided against it when they realised your potential.
Years gone by and Aethelstan appeared in the picture. He was in the same position you were previous but with Lord Uhtred's guidance, he grew up in a skilled young man who valued his faith and loved his friends. A certain someone more than a friend.
"Kid, you're gonna be the death of me with all your complaints" Uhtred murmured, suppressing a smile. He got off his horse and pointed to a lake that was near "We're staying here for a few hours. But not more than a few hours"
You smirked and excitedly hugged him before running towards the lake leaving them and your horse behind.
"Y/N ! You forgot your horse-" Finan shouted but Aethelstan put a hand on his shoulder. He told him he's gonna take care of your horse then walked in your direction.

The others were sleeping peacefully despite saying that you'll rest only for a few hours. Sihtric, Finan and Uhtred all dozed off, leaving only you and Aethelstan awake.
You sat near the lake, playing with tiny rocks, throwing them in the water "Do you still believe that rocks can flout?"
"Oh shut up. I'm way past that" No, you weren't. Aethelstan sat down next to you, putting his hand on yours, stopping you from throwing any more rocks.
You allowed him to empty your hands before interlocking your fingers together. He was warm despite his fingers being partially rough.
"You know...This scene seems familiar" He mumbled tugging your body closer to his.
You smiled, resting your head on his leathered shoulder before responding "Yeah. It does-"
The two of you were in a similar position way back when you were running away from Edith's brother and his troops. Aethelstan accidentally fell and scraped his face and you offered to help him clean the wound.
"-Although there's not a scratch for me to clean this time"
The boy chuckled before turning his head to look at you. He leaned towards your face, his forehead touching yours "There is one..."
You could feel his breath moving some of your baby hairs when his lips kissed the corner of yours "Right here"
Aethelstan smashed his lips against yours, a hand coming to cup your jaw. He wasn't really experienced as he picked some advice from Sihtric and sometimes Uhtred. They both said approximately the same thing 'Start slow. Then let the feeling flow'.
You opened your mouth and allowed his tongue to explore. The kiss was growing messy but neither of you cared. It was perfect.
His curly locks were tickling your cheeks and you wasted no second to tug on them to deepen the kiss.
"I love--"
"Stop that you two. There's this thing called germs. Back off!" Finan yelled already scooping some water and splashing the two of you without a care.
"Really?" Raising your eyebrow you picked up the nearest rock and smashed Finan in the chest.
"Yes, really. I can't have you dead walking until we reach the village"
"You have three seconds to run"
Aethelstan nodded and the two of you got up chasing Finan until the sun began to rise.
