𝐔𝐡𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐝

・He didn't think he'd marry.

・But then you came along, and made the world seem brighter.

・You became part of the family and now had three brothers who would do anything for you.

・And you gained ... Uhtred's complete heart. No matter what you had done, what you say, wherever you go, he will find you, he'll forgive you and he will love you.

・His proposal was just you and him, in bed, naked after a night of making love.

・He was still inside of you when he asked if you want marry him.

・You thought it was a joke, but then he pulled out of you and stood up

・Uhtred kissed you and then showed you the simple gold band from his pants' pocket

・Once Finan, Sihtric and Osferth found out, they were howling and hooting, happy for the both of you

・The ceremony was a mix of Saxon and Dane.

・You both bathed before the ceremony; as purification (Dane tradition)

・You exchanged vows and rings (Saxon tradition) and had a blessing from God and the Gods/Goddesses

・The feast afterwards was large. Many people came, some for the drink and food, but mostly to pay their respects

・There were a few speeches but Finan's was the best by far

・And then at night you were both pushed into 'the marriage bed,' (no one stayed) but they all wished you well.

𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧

・Finan was a hot mess when he proposed to you.

・Stammering, face red from blushing, making jokes that had nothing to do with the situation

・But you took his hand and held it in both of yours.

"Breathe Finan, it's okay, my love."

・When he proposed, it was in semi-public... (Uhtred, Sihtric and Osferth were eavesdropping)

・After you said yes, they all yelled from outside the door.

・You had a Handfasting ceremony

・Your closest (found) family and friends were there as witness

・It was held during the early days of Spring; promising your eternal love amongst the blooming.

・Finan cried as soon as he saw you. He wasn't blubbering but ... he gods was he close...

・You stood together underneath the large tree (where you spoke to one another for the first time) and clasped hands.

・Hilde had taken material from both of you days before and had sewed them together.

・The feast afterward was wild, but Finan never left your side.

𝐒𝐢𝐡𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜

・He didn't have any heirlooms to give you, nor did he have money for a ring...

・So Sihtric gave you one of his daggers, his favourite one actually...

・His proposal was quite romantic; he said told you everything he loved about you.

・You both couldn't contain yourselves when you said yes.

・You fucked like it was the first time. Tentatively touching parts of each other, kissing like it was the last time you'd ever see each other.

・By the time you got back to camp, hours had passed by and the men noticed the dagger at your side.

・Uhtred was proud, Finan was emotional and Osferth was happy for you both.

・Your ceremony was done in the Dane tradition

・The two of you exchanged weapons, to signify mutual loyalty and protection

・As this was a pagan ceremony, Norse gods were invoked to bless the marriage.

・Dane/Viking weddings were often on Frigg’s day (Friday)

・And feasting ... god it went on for two days

・But you noticed that Sihtric was never gone for more than fifteen minutes

・And when he was sitting next to you, he was pouring more wine for you, constantly getting you more food and made sure you were comfortable

𝐎𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐡

・The proposal was just the two of you, near a waterfall.

・His heart was pumping so quickly, he could barely catch his breath when he looked at you

・The water was loud, and he had to yell (maybe the waterfall wasn't the best place for this)

・Osferth has no possessions of value. He's the bastard of a king and that meant he was hidden away.

・So he gave you a rock.

・A shiny, smooth rock (you constantly give him rocks, knick-knacks, flowers, etc) and by proposing with a rock, it continued that tradition between you two

・You nearly knocked him over with your kiss. But he kissed you back just as fiercely.

・ When you came back to camp, you were both deshevelled ... and told the rest of the family, the three men erupted

・The wedding was done by Father Pyrlig

・You both clutched hands and stared into each other's eyes. Both of you got teary-eyed.

・When it was time to kiss, Finan and Sihtric were whistling - which made Uhtred smack them both

・The feasting carried on throughout the night and into the morning. But you and Osferth had slipped away, unnoticed.

𝐀𝐥𝐝𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐦

・Aldhelm proposed after getting a blessing from your family (or found familly)

・He commissioned a ring; silver, with a small stone in the middle. It shined rainbow in the sunlight

・Neither of you wanted a big wedding; you just wanted to be bound to one another

・To everyone's surprise, you and Aldhelm eloped.

・No one except a priest and a witness.

・The night before, you slept apart. You had stayed in a tavern inn, separate rooms.

・As got dressed in your wedding attire, one of the workers brought you a token from Aldhelm.

・A bracelet that matched the ring.

・It was a surprise he had made, months prior. He knew you were the one since the first time he saw you.

・As you walked toward him, the aisle laid in front of you. You took a breath and walked towards your soon-to-be husband.

・And as Aldhem saw you standing there, it was like someone had punched him in the gut.

・You looked ethereal, not from this world.

・After the vows were said, you went back to the tavern to eat, drink and fawn over each other...

𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜

・Leofric's proposal was surprising since you had only spoken of marriage recently.

・The ring was a family heirloom; the only one in his family - and he gave it to you because he knows this marriage will last.

・The wedding was a quiet affair; only those important to you were invited.

・Leofric had never been so anxious in his life. Waiting for you at the end of the aisle felt like eternity.

・Your ceremony was held inside a church. It was small and yet, neither of you would have changed a thing.

・The priest was old, and he would often lose his train of thought. But Leofric didn't care, all he wanted was to say "I Do," and have you say it in return.

・After the (longer than necessary) ceremony, the night came alive with food, drink, and embarrassing stories.

・Uhtred loved being able to make Leofric blush.
