Gypsum is a naturally occurring element that has lasted for decades in its natural state. In Egypt, gypsum has been used for internal plastering for decades. It can still be seen in many tombs and pyramids today. 

Sand-cement plaster was traditionally used to level internal walls made of bricks, AAC blocks, concrete blocks, and RCC. Gypsum punning is the application of 3mm to 6mm of gypsum plaster over a sand-cement plastered surface to produce crack-free and smooth finished walls in many markets.

To render a smooth slurry, gypsum plaster is mixed with clean water at the job site in the recommended proportions. Gypsum plaster slurry is then sprayed by professional applicators at the desired thickness on walls and ceilings, a technique known as Gypsum plastering.

For internal plastering surfaces, gypsum plastering is a more environmentally safe choice than conventional sand-cement application. Since it does not entail the time-consuming water curing process, gypsum plastering is a quicker application technique for internal surfaces. To prevent shrinkage cracks caused by heat of hydration, a water curing process is needed for 20 – 21 days after sand-cement plastering.
