and it's one of the things i like abt fiveturlough too. bc turlough is also incurably an aristocrat and the way it crops up btwn them is so interesting to me. turlough thinks someone else should be doing the fetching and carrying but he'll just grumble and acquiesce when five expects him to bc of the complicated position five takes up in his life and bc turlough puts stock in time lords being a higher species. most companions are generally aligned with the doctor's stance of fighting for the underdog but turlough thinks they aren't a galactic rescue service (incredible thing to say on doctor who) and that the ruling class should've stayed in power on trion. turlough will say things like residentially segregated castes is a "cozy" way of doing things and the doctor will barely call him out on it most of the time bc like, that was also the doctor's upbringing and he's not as divorced from it all as he likes to think he is. and then the doctor is shocked and angry when turlough expresses something he finds truly abhorrent (trion lives should be saved before sarns*) bc he thinks they're operating from the same general values when they aren't.

The King's Demons is bad actually because they had the chance to torture Turlough and then didn't

I think Rtd forgot most of doctor who in RTD2 but specifically i don’t think RTD knows Vislor Turlough exists
