“Hey, Vis,” with much hesitance, she stepped forward, a nervous smile on her lips.

Vision stops in his tracks, almost frozen when he sees Wanda again. He almost asks her if she’s real, and not another illusion. However, he suddenly can’t remember how to speak. Vision didn’t think he’d ever see her again.

There was a gap between them that Vision reduces immediately, only within an arms reach now. He picked up on her hesitance, so he didn’t go to hold her like he actually wanted to. “Wanda.” A audible sigh of relief in present in his voice. He holds his hands out to her, a silent way to gauge what level they were on after everything.

“Are you alright? Are you hurt?” There’s very evident worry in his tone, already trying to look her over for injuries'.

Wanda blinked as she processed what he was saying and then smiled. “Yes, I am!” She told him in delight, straightening her back to add some more height. Wanda was nearly eye level with Vision, sat on the counter like this. “Well, I can’t have people realising how short I really am.” She joked. Wanda wore heels almost all the time, although not as tall as the ones she’d shed. Only those who lived with her at the compound knew how small she was.

“You drive a hard bargain sir, but a grilled cheese is worth it.” She told him as she swung her legs back and forth a little. She took another gulp of her water and smiled at him. “Vision….do you remember what this party is for? I can’t remember…” She added as she set the glass of water aside.

“I won’t tell the secret of your stature.” Vision mimes locking his mouth and tossing away the key. He had learned that recently from television that he had watched with her, actually. “Even more incentive to stay on the counter, you’re my height!”

Vision turns to get what he would need to make her grilled cheese. “I can’t recall...” He admits. “I thought sometimes parties took place for no reason other than to have a party. Perhaps this is one of those.” He turns back to face her while the pan is heating up. “I don’t care for parties, most of the time, honestly. They’re loud and I cannot drink or eat, so I end up not having fun.” Vision smiles softly. “I’m having fun with you, though.”

When she was drunk, Wanda was a little less guarded with herself. She giggled in delight when she realised that she had nearly knocked the glass over, bringing her hands up to her mouth. She blushed a little when she realised that Vision was taking off her shoes, and tried to busy herself with drinking some of the water. Her cheeks flushed even more red when he called her pretty, although they were pretty red from her intoxication.

She took the shoes and put them beside her on her table. “Thank you, my ankles are now saved from a terrible fate.” She told him as she sipped at the water once more. The party was continuing on in the main communal area, but Wanda much preferred being here with Vision. “I am quite hungry actually, now you mention it. I should have eaten more this afternoon when I was getting ready. I’m feeling something with cheese.” She admitted.

Vision does notice her flushed face but chalks it up to the fact she’s very intoxicated. “You are almost as tall as me, since you’re on the counter.” Vision remarks, lingering in front of her for a moment before giving her her space. “Makes up for the height you lost taking off your shoes.” It’s an attempt at a joke.

He’s actively making mental notes of her water intake, making sure she doesn’t dehydrate or overhydrate. “If you can stay in here with me, I will make you something with cheese.” Vision tries to get her to promise. Though, he didn’t think he needed to worry, it seemed Wanda was as wary of parties as he is. “How about a grilled cheese? I can make that quickly.”

Wanda felt Vision’s hand holding her steady as she tried desperately to rebalance herself. “Sir, yesssir.” She told him, dramatically giving him a salute whilst the other hand gripped at the island. She watched as he poured her a glass of water and set it next to her. “Thank you.” She smiled.

“You’re probably right, I thought I had none on anyway so no loss.” She declared as she lifted herself up onto the counter, nearly knocking over the glass in the process. After a bit of fiddling with the strap of her heels, she groaned in frustration and let her foot fall back down. “On the other hand, they look quite pretty, no?”

He smiled at her little salute. Though he was worried for her safety, he did think she was being funny. Vision remains close to her, and it proves to be a good decision when he saves the water from tumbling over.

“They are very pretty.” Vision agrees, getting onto one knee and kneels on the floor. He helps her with removing her shoes. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t like to dote upon Wanda. It was nice to feel like he was protecting her, even if he was just protecting her from broken glasses of water and rolled ankles from high heels. “You look very pretty tonight, you always do.” He gets her heels off and holds them in a hand while he stands back up.

“Are you hungry? I read that some food can prevent you getting sick.” He is offering to make her something, or get her something. Cooking was something he liked to do for her.

Vision didn’t know Agnes nearly as well as Wanda seemed to, so the closeness they were experiencing now made him slightly nervous. He appreciates the sentiment of Agnes fixing his unstraight tie.
