More About My Content
NSFW
While the majority of this blog will be kept SFW, I want to represent a complete image of the identities I post about, so I will still be engaging in discussion about the sexuality aspect of those identities. So, while there will be the occasional NSFW post, I will tag them accordingly. For those who wish to block those posts, go ahead and block the "#nsfw" tag in your Tumblr settings.
Adjacent Content
Very little content specifically made for HetGNC people exists yet (though that it certainly beginning to change!) So, sometimes I'll be reblogging posts from various adjacent communities because the post also applies (at least partially) to the purposes of my blog as well.
For example, sometimes I reblog butch positivity/appreciation posts from lesbian/bi blogsā my intention in reblogging those is to reiterate what the post is saying but to HetGNC masc women. Another example are transmasc postsā I put those here sometimes because even though being a masculine woman is obviously not the same as being transmasc, a lot of experiences/interests GNC women have can overlap with those of transmascs', such as a desire to masculinize their appearance and tips for doing so.
Additionally, my reblogs are not necessarily endorsement of any blog involved in the post and/or thread.
Personal/Unrelated Content
I'm NOT going to post anything here unrelated to what's outlined above, BUT if you're a regular viewer you'd probably enjoy my personal blog (I'm thinking other HetGNC women especially also like rocks, art, and cute animals!) On my main ( @viscasi-main ), I reblog stuff about my interests, sometimes my personal life, all that. More importantly, it's also where my likes/asks come from!
In the event that I do post content that is more personal than blog-related (such as when I receive asks asking about me), I tag them as #personal.
I would LOVE to see more HetGNC blogs!
If you're thinking about it, start one! Post/reblog/comment your own experiences, your own memes or writing, anything! If you do, tag/reach out to me! I'd love to see!

Iāll probably write that phaedra essay two weeks from now. I ordered a physical copy for my to take notes in. The essay itself shouldnt be too long, maybe a couple paragraphs (~1000 words basically) but im really excited!!
Senecaās Phaedra1 inverts the gendered expectations of its titular character. Through the way Phaedra expresses her romantic desires, relates to womanhood, and rejects traditional markers of femininity, Seneca gives us a woman whose internal understanding of herself is wholly masculine and āI will argueā can be seen as an intramasculine character.
This looks awesome!!! For sure tag me when you post the rest!! (I try to keep up with posts here but now that thereās more of us I miss some here and there lol)
Hi i was the (insert state) guy before. (Not virago btw) but i definitely think many "god given" cowgirls and muscle girls are virago at LEAST a few of them. I mean, come onn the way some of them move like they're forced to wear clothes they don't like for formal events.
Oh my bad for jumping to conclusions haha š Anyway I still think itās cool someone from the state found this blog! But Iām curious now what brought you here! Are you a mollis guy or just someone interested in viragos?
Anyways tbh it sounds like maybe youāre frequenting more rural areas than I do, because I honestly donāt have a huge sample size of cowgirls to even think back on. Canāt say whether the girls youāre talking about are virago or not, I wouldnāt know without meeting/asking them, but as for me I donāt think Iāve met any. But that could just be the circles Iām in. Dunno!
Also I shouldāve explained this but when I said āāGod Made Girlsā -type of cowgirlsā I didnāt mean just, like, Christian women in general. Itās a country song thatās really popular among GC feminine conservative cowgirls. The āash-blondā description, too, isnāt just a blond stereotype Iām throwing out there (mascs can of course be blond)ā itās a specific artificial hair dye color that most of them have that I was just describing to help you see the type Iām talking about.
Point being, I think sometimes people get viragos confused with GC feminine conservative women who live in rural areas because theyāre typically ātougherā, sometimes more muscular, sometimes dress more simply/practically if they work a blue-collar job, and those things can get falsely interpreted as inherently masculine (feminine people can be both of those things, just as masculine women may be more ānerdyā/nonmuscular while still being masc) So, I mean, Iām not sure if that kind of woman is the kind youāre referring to or notā thatās the only kind of cowgirl Iāve met though, no viragos. But, again, I donāt know many, so that doesnāt mean they arenāt out there! Iām sure thereās gotta be some! That would be cool, Iād love to meet a cowboy virago.
Ever since what happened in January Iāve been meaning to make a just-in-case discord server or like email list or something for usā Iām not betting weāll actually need it or anything but I think itās better to be safe than sorry. If things go mega south here and for some reason we have to leave (if nothing else, just in case Tumblr itself goes under or something), I want there to be a way for us to find each other so we donāt go back to square one.
And, again, it will only be for IF we need it sometime down the road. Weāve already talked about why we donāt already have an active discord server and I donāt intend to change my mind on that. This is just in case.
Anyways DM me with your discord @ and/or email if you want to be added to that list, ignore if you donāt. I wonāt be adding anyone without a blog I recognize or that has publicly posted/commented to our community before. Sorry anons and lurkers, but thereās no other way for me to verify that you have good intentions.

To the anon who asked me about cowgirls in my state and whether I think Iāve met any who are closeted viragosā
Iām answering in a post instead to conceal your location (and mineā Iām trying to be more lowkey about it now) but-
HOLY????? Dude weāre from the same place??????? I need you to know how big of a deal it is to me that I somehow found another virago from my state (assuming youāre a virago the way your ask was worded anyway..?) I mean, I LOVE that hetgnc people are all sprinkled all across the globeā that is SO cool to me that we really are everywhereā but I have alsoā¦. Kind of wondered if that means weāre all spread out thin and too rare for there to be others like us nearby. Iāve been wondering this WHOLE time if anyone from my home state has found this blog.
Anyways my DMs are open if you ever want to talk about it more anon!!!
To answer your question: to be completely honest, I personally havenāt met any openly masc cowgirls (who werenāt lesbians), at least as far as I remember or could tell. Most of the bi/het ones Iāve met seem to be the ash-blonde, āso god made girlsā type of cowgirls, yāknow? Or maybe the āgranola muscle mommyā type on the far end. But itās totally possible that Iāve just been blinded by my pessimism and maybe Iāve met some viragos without realizing.
Other than cowgirls though, there was one girl I met at school who liked cars that I kind of got a vibe about. Then I also noticed she had kind of a mixed wardrobe, which doesnāt necessarily mean anything, but it did remind me of back when I was first gradually transitioning my closet to masc clothing. So there wasnāt really a smoking gun telling me she was definitely a virago or anything, maybe not even masc, but idk. My virago-dar was going off. Was I right? No idea.
As far as mollis boys go, Iāve met my boyfriend who Iāve talked about before, and there was one other boy I met at school who Iām not sure about but I wonder about a LOT. He was a super cool feminine guy with immaculate jewelry tasteā we had a class together and he always made a point to sit next to me, and I am very visibly gnc so I always wondered if that was maybe why? I wanted to chat with him and maybe get around to talking about it, but he always had his earbuds in so I left him alone š
Side note, super bummed that I canāt talk about my home state anymore because part of my original vision for this blog was to talk about growing up GNC in that area specifically, because itāsā¦ā¦ a unique place. Maybe not the most conservative place in the world, but certainly uniquely conservative, specifically towards GNC and gay folks. But, alas. I gotta be careful how much of my personal info I share here. THAT SAID, anyone can feel free to ask me about it still (or even talk about your own) on anon and Iāll just answer it separately like this one, or privately in DMs or smth :)
Hmmmmmmm I ammmmmm more seriously considering this now haha š
What type of metal should it be? Itās gotta be something I can pour because I donāt have access to a forge location/anvil and I think that takes a lot more training. I do however⦠potentially know a guy who can teach me know to melt & pour into a sand mold.
(Asking everyone, but tagging @flintloc-k specifically because you seem like the typa guy who would know things about metal, especially about which one would be the coolest metal.)
are the terms āmasculine attractionā and āfeminine attractionā still being used? i saw them in some older posts and i though they were really useful, but i havenāt seen wether they were replaced or people decided against using them (or if people are still using them and iām just not seeing it).
We havenāt made an official decision on a name for it yet, no, but I completely agree with youā this is a conversation we should bring back.
Weāve talked some about how one experiences attraction to others, but we havenāt talked much about the aspect of the identity that is *how you want someone to be attracted to/perceive you*, and I think part of that is because we donāt have established language to facilitate those conversations yetā such as āmasculine attractionā/āfeminine attraction.ā
I think this would help masc4masc and fem4fem hetgnc people describe their experience especially. Like, masc viragos are generally attracted to masc men in a masculine way (as opposed to the way fem GC women are) ā (but, interestingly, itās possible some masc viragos are attracted to masc men in a feminine way, as a masc person. Idk!) Moreover, most masc viragos seem to want others to reciprocate that attraction in a way that perceives them as masculinely attractive (but, again, clearly there are some masculine women who want someone to be attracted to them in a feminine way instead.)
My only worry with readily adopting those terms as is, is that people might get confused and think that only masc people can experience āmasculine attractionā (and, that this is the only type of attraction they can experience, for that matter), and vice versa.
Ugh that feels like a bunch of word salad, Iām not sure if my point is coming across. I guess what Iām saying is it would be nice to have a way to differentiate between experiences like this:
[As opposed to heteronormative women, i.e.: Fem women who experience feminine attraction towards (masc) menā⦠]
Masc women who experience masculine attraction towards men;
Masc women who experience feminine attraction towards men;
Fem women who experience masculine attraction towards (fem) men;
Fem women who experience feminine attraction towards (fem) men;

i fully agree that this dynamic occurs within trans communities. some of my ftm friends have told me about how they were pressured to be more masculine within trans circles, i've also been misgendered for things as absurd as shaving with men's razors (my mom does too). i exist at this weird intersection where i'm too feminine to fit into male gender roles but too "masculine" (read: autistic and feminist) to be valid to misogynistic trans spaces.
when i say "do not reduce me to a gender conforming woman", i am not denying this dynamic. i mean that society does not treat me as a gender conforming woman (it doesn't treat any trans people as gender conforming). i will never be permitted femininity in the way a cis woman is, unless i go completely stealth which is extremely difficult.
i know battleworn knights get a bad rep as they often come with trauma and can be unpredictable or sometimes (very rarely) dangerous if you aren't careful. but if you take the time to be kind and meet them where they are they become the best vassals, experienced in combat and fiercely protective. I've never had a more loyal and affectionate knight than my knight I adopted from the kingdom's battalion.
Iām currently reading Six Deaths of the Saint after everyone recommending it to me. Holy shit dude. Itās everything I loved about The Song of Achilles but from the perspective of a virago warrior this time. Canāt say more without spoilers but holy shit dude.
āHe looked at me like I was tall as an oak and twice as strong.ā
Iām only a few pages in and Iāve actually put off reading any further for like a month now because Iām so scared itāll end poorly and take it all away from me. It was a crime to make this story only a few pages⦠and then totally biff it on the spinoff full-length novel (as Iāve heard.)
Aww this is really sweet :)) thanks anon, happy pride to you too!! And to all of you!
I think someone said that to celebrate, we should all find a way to be a little more ourselves. I like that idea. Iāve been thinking about getting that goddamn haircut for longer than Iāve even had this blog and I think maybe this is the push I need to be brave haha

pov itās 2016 and youāre thinking about some boy while angsting to Treat You Better and changing the words in your head to āany boy like you deserves a gentleman.ā You donāt know that other girls donāt do this yet
Oh my god I did this too⦠šš I thought that was an original experience LMAO
As a mollis, I really wish I was wordy enough to post on Tumblr, but everyone on here the virago/mollis community just posts such long posts! :O
Where do you guys find the words?
Haha, there are a lot of long posts here! But I promise thatās not any sort of expectation or requirement at all. For me I think itās because Iāve been stuck with these thoughts for so long with no one to say them to, so now that I have this blog to voice them, my posts end up being really long š
Anyway you should totally join us!!! Your non-wordy posts are just as welcome as any other, promise!
