âNo, you adore me,â it was a mock; the word was something Elec would likely use when less annoyed and he grinned at the older robot as he finished his retreat into the bathroom.
They bickered for a short while through the start of it while Elec pushed him around until he was situated and figured out what he thought heâd do; Forteâs hair was so long so he had a lot of room for creativity. It wasnât his hair but Elec didnât want to go as short as heâd been asked, though choosing thick patches behind his ears could be a good transition point. Shorter than the rest and blended into the back. Picking the exact length, however?
A sharp poke to the ribs shut Forte right up. It was followed by a pause, Elecâs voice coming in with âHere?â, which was replied to with a shrug. Although Elec was known to chatter he was typically quiet when concentrating, and the two didnât speak again until he was nearly finished and the older of them was working on feathering the ends and adding some last layers.
âYou still got that photo of us standing like this?â asked Forte to break the silence, curious over a memory that surfaced.
âI sure have--â
âThrow it out.â
âWhat?â Elec laughed, not noticing that he may have been a little too rough when he shook out the ends of Forteâs hair, and he ignored the pointed stare that got thrown over a shoulder for it. âWhat if I refuse? You had no piercings, your hair was entirely one length⌠I remember the trouble for that as well.â
âYou were a smart ass to Wily.â
âHe was shouting? I said, âWeâre making it all about the partyâ,â Elec twirled the last section of blond hair as prep, looking up in time to catch the grin. âHe looked at me sideways, then I said, âSex, drugs, and rock ânâ roll, baby.â And none of us ever spoke of it again.â
âItâs still too long,â Forte interrupted.
Elec huffed in response and took a step back, left hand on a hip and twirling the scissors in his right. Â âYouâre loony,â he said as he looked Forte over then down at pile on the floor. Heâd cut so much off already. âBlues come here; he needs a reset â sorry, I meant an outside opinion.â
