"Not being caughtâ was the name of the game, really. Most parts of his life fell into that category, from his own whereabouts to looking after Forte to most of his activity, really. Dart in, dart out, either don't get caught or make himself known from the get-go when there was no risk in doing so. Good thing to share in common with the âdouble-agentâ sibling, considering the game Elec was playing and the wire he walked. Â
Well, as far as those terms really applied.
Every now and again, Blues spared a period of time to check on the Doctor and the 'bots still with him. He never stayed long, always stayed out of sightâthere's that ânot being caughtâ thing, againâand never was found out. Never, that was, until Elec apparently decided to swing by while he was on his way out. If it were anyone else, Blues might have pretended not to hear him, or even that they'd had the wrong person. As it was, though, it was a little bit harder to pull that on Elec. They'd spent too much time together, by now, for it to ever work.
And of course the nickname came with it. Nightingales were noisy and shrill, and Blues still wasn't sure who started it, why it started, or why it stuck. Might be something to ask, later, far from here. He didn't want to stick around longer than necessary, all in the interest of not being caught.
âDon't know what you're talking about.â If he couldn't play dumb on identity, he could always do so where his purpose was concerned. Not like they were directly in front of the lab or anything.Â
