My body has never made me feel frail

My muscles hold my unstable joints in place 

I’ve learned to protect my head each time I fall 

I have never been helpless

To trust you with my life 

30 years, a life’s worth of experience 

It only takes 10 minutes to take away the rest of mine 

You keep me the worst kind of tongue-tied 

suture my tongue to the roof of my mouth 

Then tell me not to speak 

It would hurt if I try to tear it out

No one will believe me 

Were I to pry my mouth open 

I would speak, mouth full of blood 

And be condemned for creating a biohazard 

Who can I come to 

Who can be accountable 

Who can help me 

My muscles are busy keeping my joints in place 

My mind is busy planning how to protect my skull when I fall 

My heart is busy doing the job of my whole circulatory system 

My body is strong 

It won’t be once this is over 

I will have to lose everything before you will bother to look

Prompt: Conspiracy

Me: Hushed tones filled the room, each person speaking with bated breath. No one was willing to admit why they were there, the taboo subject they gathered to discuss. Then the object was carried to the center of the room and placed on a pedestal. The stained cloth covering it was carefully unwrapped.

Sister( @violetstarlet ):  It’s been an entire month now and I’m so worried; where could they of possibly gone? Minutes after they left a new person entered our house and just sat down on our furniture! What’s a cat like me to do? Something must’ve happened to my family, it’s just waiting to be discovered.

Kaz: Good News - We didn’t have to wait around for a locksmith.

Kaz: Bad News - Jesper find it very concerning that I know how to pick lock and tried to unlock my “Tragic Backstory”. I was too embarrassed to admit the reason I learned was because, at thirteen, I figured that was the kind of skill that would impress Inej.
