i just found out about this bird (scale-crested pygmy tyrant) trying to find the most biodiverse countries and i feel tears welling up in my eyes because its so cute

Not to generalize, and I have an admitted really small sample size, but I feel like when men write necromancer protagonists they tend to make their characters not do anything cool, like raising skeletons, because it's EVIL and FORBIDDEN! They'll at most have a necrotic magic missile in spoOOoky green or something. Maybe they fight zombies. They're a good necromancer who often could have been literally any other type of wizard narratively... Then you'll get women writing necromancers and it'll be like 500 skeletons! Someone punches a tooth out and they turn it into a bone spider and spit it in their opponent's face!
