They even left the reverse blank for your personal message… ^_^

No butterfly; only lichen! ^_^
So many bones. A thick layer of detritus from the bottom of a barn owl nest box.
A splendid male adder, ready for action on the 23rd April. This year I missed all the action :'(
Found this enchanting little ruin by the Stowhall Burn above Acharossan. A corn drying kiln, perhaps.
A 3d scan of the same. I think I found the flue.
Below is a link to a fleshed-out diagram of a scottish corn drying kiln:

Smooth, wiggly algae going with the flow. If I look at them under a microscope, I'm sure they'll be even flowier and wigglier, right?

Fishbone lichen enjoying a bit of a breeze.
I stumbled across this small cottage on a trackless wander through a dense local conifer plantation. The inhabitant - a woodsman, perhaps? - seems to have planted up the front garden with redwood trees. A bold choice for your herbaceous borders if ever there was one.
I took these photos in 2010 and never did manage to find my way back there.
A couple of jaunty sea-side lichens having a tussle. I think I've got Xanothoria aureola in yellow and Anaptychia runcinata in brown (it goes a lovely avocado green colour when well hydrated.)
A wonderful little common rough woodlouse - Porcellio scaber.
Some lovely, leathery textures on this very fresh cabbage white chrysalis. <3

I've been seeking out a delicate little lichen called Arctomia - it has beautiful deep red apothecia and is one of the many denizens of lush mini-jungles that form in the canopy of liverwort mats on tree trunks in danker woodlands in these parts.
Always check your stumps ^_^
