Thought I'd try emulating the style of renaissance etchings, and the story of Icarus came to mind! I may revise this later, but I'm really happy with how it is now as well :)

1. what is the author trying to say? 2. what does the author maybe not realize they’re saying?

oh, baby - its late and you keep wishing you could have someone to love endlessly, yknow?

am i real? - those nights where literally utter nothingness seems to materialize in place of where you used to be

fuel your anger for the low cost of $0.00 - yeah fuck, it lets get angry

who is your god - and did you worship her like you were supposed to? 

maybe i dreamt you. - start wars and burn cities to see that smile (lowkey pynch)

wannabe skater boy - yeah, you KNOW you’re the shit and you can own it with confidence - thats where i wanna be

[missing something that barely existed] - put me in a clown car and take me for a ride huh

only my thoughts for company - oh now why do i get lonely SO easily

between my head and heart - thats where you’ll stay (even if you decide its time for you leave)

emo’s only event - a middle school emo phase kinda nostalgia 

every fall out boy song but in a very specific order - yeah.. HAH

lets rewind - obligatory throwbacks playlist baby

kpop but we keep it hush hush - intro to a basic kpop fans favourites

desperately wanting something but not being able to describe what it is you want. its not any physical item, its a state of being, one you’ve never had before but you still long for it when someone asks you what you want to do for your future

you’re six years old and sleeping over your grandparent’s house. they wrap you up in blankets, make you hot chocolate, and you ask them about what their lives were like. you had no idea your grandma and grandpa were so cool. 

youve numbed yourself to feeling strongly about people. you associate trust with pain, love with guilt, and kindness with manipulation and everything just kind of cancels out. then you meet someone who changes that, who you really feel you can trust and love and any pain will be worth the risk. and all the feelings come back. 

that little sound you hear in your ears when you’re falling asleep on the couch after a sleepless night. your dream world starts to overtake reality and you feel like you can finally relax as light drips through your windows and the birds sing you lullabies.
