Tw: stress/sadness/trauma(?)

Note: even if you have none of these signs, that does not mean you’re aren’t a regressor. Some do this voluntarily and others do it involuntarily and both are valid and accepted. This post is more so for people who are unsure if they may be an involuntary age regressor, but should not be used to discourage or disqualify anyone.

🩰 You start to speak softer or high pitched and seek physical comfort like hand holding or hugging when experiencing hard emotions. This could also look like “baby talk”.

🧸 You rock back and forth or chew and suck on your fingers or other objects when stressed or problem solving.

🧴 You wiggle or hum when eating something really yummy. (My mommy calls this my yummy food happy dance lol)

🎀 You experience emotional outbursts often mistaken as throwing tantrums when you’re overwhelmed or disappointed.

🫧 You seek comfort by curling up in small spaces or under blankets to try to self soothe.

People regress for any reasons! To seek comfort, to relieve stress, to heal from childhood trauma, etc. Maybe even just for fun! I think all of these are valid reasons and forms of age regression!

Okay a little update on me
