from what i had heard that back in the 70’s in the states the drinking age was eighteen. i’m not sure when they changed it to twenty-one though. i think i already stated that i had googled you mate.

i didn’t know that. based on what i learned in school, alcohol inhibits your growth or something like that. that’s maybe why they raised the age limit? i did get that. how come?

and here i thought even people who weren’t in school would join the spring break fun. what’re you doing instead of getting that degree ? i like to be first, always. we seem to be vibing just right, promise i’ll make your birthday party glorioso when the time rolls around.

I’ve done a lot of things they weren’t cool with already. This is the least I can do. No, I haven’t. I went to catholic schools growing up and wine was allowed when you’re a senior during mass. I heard you got married though. Are congratulations in order or is deuxmoi making stuff up again?

ah, that’s fair. it’s definitely not for everyone. it is nice to pare a glass with a nice meal every now and again though. nah, my messy side only comes out in france, mate.

american drinking laws are so wild. i didn’t even realize i was illegally drinking years ago, since i grew up with a pub culture were you were allowed wine or beer with dinner from 16 onwards, as long as you had an adult buying it for you. look at you being a good boy and following the rules however. the not having hangovers bit is smart, too. those ruin your whole day and truly aren’t worth it. what’s going to be the first drink you’ll be ordering?

miss dua, are you admitting to drinking illegally in the u.s? what a shock! i get it. i hope you didn’t get in trouble for it here though. the laws can be very strict. i actually haven’t thought that far ahead. do you have any recommendations? sounds like you know your way around the bar.

you’ll survive, babe. surely there was plenty of other potential boat partners lining up at your door ! how did the rest of your trip end up going ? don’t tell me you spent the entire time sulking. 

it’s not about survival. there’s things i prefer to do. one is being in your company. yeah, they weren’t you. no, not just sulking. i ate a lot of really good food, caught up with friends, went out a few nights. contrary to popular belief, i do know how to function when you’re blowing me off.

I definitely recommend buying yourself a few bottles of wine to take home with you for July, that way you don’t miss out, because some of the wines here are better than you can get anywhere else. But that’s great restraint, you know most young men your age wouldn’t. God. That makes me sound old.

That would’ve been an amazing idea. Guess I’ll have to ask my friend to bring me some when she returns from her trip because I blanked. Plus, I don’t think they would’ve let me bring it back through customs due to my age. You’re not old, Kat. It’s not that hard. I prefer being straight edge mostly.

Nah, it’s only the biggest compliment you could pay me. I’ve clearly got a thing for ‘em too. Do you only have small ones? It started out that way for me. Honestly, just about anything. Some of them are just for fun. No, not all of them. Only some of them do. Sometimes it’s not the content of it, but the action of getting it done with someone or to commemorate an adventure. Just depends.
