DeltaTrip Hotel Storyline β¦
Deltatrip is an AU based on Travel!

Today's focus is the main story of the hotel!
Most of the story is told through Spamtonβs point of view, but the world goes further beyond of just his perspective. The lightners are also present in Deltatrip! But it follows Deltaruneβs canonical storyline! So they will show up later! Also since we donβt really know about Mike I donβt want to be wrong before the game finishes! So heβll get vaguely mentioned!
The storyline follows the same way like it does in Deltarune. The prophecy still exists and Spamton still follows the exact same plotline with the phone stuff, friend and eventually falling off.Β Also! Some elements may make it look like the story is moving quite fast! But I assure you there's filler and time between events! But for the sake of not making this 100 pages I'm leaving a lot of that out ! ~
Also for my fellow artists out there! Apart from the uniforms, most of the character designs are fanon interpretation! I like to give spamton a mullet for example but if you like him with shorter hair: please feel free to draw him with that! And any outfit changes that add to the design or make it more complicated, accessories or different interpretations are also very welcome !
As long as the key elements remain! Go ham ! Be creative ! <3
Spamton is barely scraping by in Cybercity. While the other Addisons are running successful businesses, Spamton runs a crappy Motel. Orange owns a pet hotel, Blue owns a daycare, Pink runs a love hotel and yellow is the general manager of his own hotel. Spamton tries his best to run his Motel, but moneyβs tight and he canβt keep up with the maintenance.
Right when heβs about to go bankrupt, he receives a phone call from his benefactor in a phone booth while walking around in cybercity. Telling him to look up. With a view of a certain billboard right in front of him, he dials the phone number. Maybe a fresh start would do him good.

β β The Grand Anode Hotel.βΒ Β Β
Hotel World: story and timeline β¦
The Grand Anode Hotel is the most prestigious hotel in the entire Dark World.Β
There isnβt a soul that hasnβt heard of the place. The grandiose lobby, the large luxurious rooms and personalised catering. Known for its extraordinary customer service and royal treatment of guests. Not limited to door to door all-inclusive service, your drinks catered and personalised to your tastes. Your car is valet-parked and stored securely, and itβs brought out for you before you step a foot out the door. Every guest leaves with a grand story to tell and a positive review. The ratings are off the charts.Β
The guests must feel like royalty and be treated as such. Failure to meet those standards and you'd get fired.
The owner of The Anode, referred to as the Boss, is a mystery to everyone. Those who can communicate with the boss are special, and own a badge of honor for their loyalty: a personalized brooch. But communication with him is never face to face. Most of the messages are relayed through Battat with letters or through Mike. The members with a special brooch are the ClimateDuo, Battat, Mike and Ramb.
Tenna is The Anodeβs Boss. The secret that nobody knows, except for Mike. His role is that a bellboy, handling luggage, escorting guests to rooms, explaining perks and providing information about local attractions. And since he's big, he can easily help with luggage, so he's very good at the job. But he's also in full control of the Hotel.
With his smooth words and high driving skills, Spamton gets the job and starts working as a Valet Driver. Heβs always loved working on cars, so driving them professionally for work was like a dream job to him. But of course, the Valet parking service isnβt always needed. And so he helps out in the Hotel too.
Within his first weeks of the job he already had to help the hotel staff. It was the busy season and every other employee was preoccupied with other tasks and guests. Spamton is clearly struggling with getting the luggage from larger darkners onto the trolley. Tenna sees him struggle and comes up from behind, picking up a suitcase and placing it on top of the golden trolley with ease. At first, Spamton sees it as an act to belittle him in front of the guests. But it soon becomes clear that Tenna was just trying to help.Β
Spamton wants to return the favour but Tenna declines, βhe was just doing his jobβ is what he claimed. But Spamton insists. So, he offers to buy Tenna a drink instead. Reluctantly Tenna accepts his offer just to make the guy feel better. βAlright, but only one!β
Meanwhile Spamton wants to flaunt his βrichesβ and tries to seem knowledgeable on the finer things in life. Masking his previous life in near-poverty. And so, he buys them expensive drinks on the first round. Tenna already knew of his economic status, the little Addison isnβt fooling him. Spamton was just trying to make good first impressions, necessary to climb up the ranks. But this ended up being one of the most fun nights Tennaβs had at The Anode in years. And so, he ended up drinking more than he was initially set on.
From here on their bond grows stronger, even planning hangouts after their shift at the bar, and slacking off at work to see each other. Gossip does spread fast though. Hotel employees and mostly gossipy-pippins notice how Tenna is around Spamton. But the others like Ramb and the Climate Duo can't help but feel happy for him. Tenna usually never drinks at the bar, and especially not more than one glass. Tenna, the guy who never really forms strong close emotional connections with any employees suddenly getting all bubbly with the new hire...Β
Spamton does have a hidden agenda: he wants to discover the identity of the boss and take over. And so, he steals room keys, going into rooms he personally doesnβt belong in. After knowing Tenna for a short while, he inquires about his curiosity on the identity of the Boss. Hoping they could figure it out together (since Tenna is one of the longest-working employees). Tenna replies coldly to his questions, a little disappointed in him. βPlease donβt tell me you only applied to work here just to find out who the boss could be.β But Spamton plays it off as βIβm just curiousβ.
Meanwhile Tenna is constantly suspecting that Spamton already knows more than heβs letting on, and that Spamton is playing games with him. He's nervous but since he's still unsure he tries not to let it be known. Spamton is aware that Tenna knows more than he lets on, and wants to gain Tenna's trust, in order for him to tell more information. It doesnβt help either that Spamton calls Tenna boss for fun. Itβs almost like a game of cat and mouse on both ends.
After some reasonable amount of time passes ~
On one extremely drunken night, Spamton complains about the drinks, but itβs more or less just him trying to brag about his more 'refined tastes'. βIβm getting kind of bored of this liquor being the best, βstuff I got at homeβs much better.β Tenna, being close to wasted, comments on that. βYou like the β¦ best β¦ of the β¦ best β¦ hmm? I know where I can get you that.β And gets up from the bar stool. Spamton, being intrigued about a secret high quality alcohol stash, follows closely behind. But things get a little suspicious when Tenna brings the two of them to the elevator. And since thereβs already clear romantic tension between the twoβ¦ Spamton becomes nervous and asks where heβs bringing him. But all Tenna replies with is βTrust meβ in a confident but drunken tone.Β Β
Room 1997. Thatβs where Tenna took him. The room of which key has never been seen on the rack before. But, spamton notices Tenna isnβt using any of the keys on his personal bundle he clipped onto his pants. And instead, heβs using a long cord with a key attached coming fromβ¦ his rear ?!Β
As Spamton hesitantly follows Tenna into the room, Tenna is quick to go to his cabinet where he asks for Spamtonβs preference, pulling out a whiskey. Meanwhile Spamton is snooping around in the room, seeing a stack of papers with a lot of tiny words on it. But being too drunk he canβt focus on any of the words and takes a seat . One thing leads to another and he ends up staying the night in this hotel room with Tenna.
When he wakes up the room is tidy, no more stacks of paper on top of the desk. Almost like room service came by when he was sleeping. Though heβs got too much of a headache to remember the previous state of the room anyway.Β
Tenna on the other hand is clearly nervous, eating himself up for bringing Spamton to his office! Risking his entire secret just because he was drunk, and heck, he doesnβt even remember most of it! Though Spamton doesnβt think about any of that, and instead tries to be casual about last night's events.Β
After those events, Spamton never brings up the things he saw and kind of forgets about it. Tenna does some managerial work too after all. The two start going out on dates. Just like in Deltarune's canon, the ring, pipis, HR and other things happen too. Spamton even earns a car shaped brooch from the boss because of his hard work. Rightβ¦
The hotel's equivalent of the S-rank room and the T-rank room is room 1997. This is Tennaβs secret office in the hotel. Eventually they end up sharing the space, but Tenna is always present in the room. And Tenna locks up all of his documents in his drawer after they start sharing the space.
Later on in the story Spamton manages to break into room 1997βs drawer. There, on top of the stack he sees it. Employee contracts, payment documents, bills and more. This fancy suite wasnβt just his hotel room, itβs an office. The Bossβs office. Spamton finally connects the dots, and images flash back into his mind of their first night in the room. The stack of papers he couldnβt read.. Spamton had always known Tenna was more than just a bellboy and also carried managerial tasks.. But thisβ¦Β
Quickly running out, he meets Tenna inside of the elevator which startles him. Tenna comments on him looking quite pale and asking if heβs well. Spamton does his best to convince Tenna everything is alright, and that heβs just feeling a bit under the weather. But Tenna can sense something is off. Arriving at his stop, Spamton nervously says that heβs changed his mind and is calling in sick. Though he returns the next day acting as if nothing happened.Β
Tenna notices slight differences in the way Spamton acts. Heβs more jumpy, on the phone a lot more and stopped calling Tenna by his nickname βBossβ as frequently.Β
And so⦠Mike, clearly looking a bit concerned, lets Spamton know that Tenna is looking for him in his office. The door is unlocked and Spamton hesitantly goes in. Tenna tells him to take a seat and gets straight to the point. More cold and distant from his usually bubbly speech.
Listen. We both knew this was coming.
Iβm aware that you know of my identity.Β
I donβt want to take drasticβ¦ measures.
You and I could become business partners instead.
"I wanted to do this differently.
I planned to tell you myself.
I wanted to give you the choice!
But, things are the way they are now⦠So.
After Spamtonβs absence β¦
After Spamton leaves the hotel, Tenna completely breaks down. He destroys his office and starts lashing out at his coworkers (his employees). They notice Spamton's absence in the bar that Tenna and him frequented. They don't really notice immediately, because Spamton works as the driver so he's outside a lot of the time. But they do notice Tennaβs declining mood and frequent outbursts. He still keeps up with the secrecy of being the boss. But the boss suddenly got a lot stricter and started communicating less with the chosen ones.Β
Over time the Grand Anode Hotel slowly falls from its prime. There's more and more mismanagement. Tenna can't keep up with guests, popularity is dwindling and the hotelβs service becomes worse in comparison to the golden era. Over half of the buildings close down and become abandoned, due to not being needed. And from whatβs left: the squeaky-clean hotel starts to gather dust, some rooms have unremoved stains and the quality of service is dwindling. Employees feel underpaid and start slacking off because of it.Β
Although, Employees are still fearful of getting fired, and especially fearful of the rumored things that happen to those who do get terminated. These rumors, too, ruin its once golden reputation the Grand Anode once had.
Tenna becomes extremely desperate towards the guests. He tries his best to ensure they have a good stay, but one complaint and he starts to spiral and lash out. βThey never used to complain! Why are they doing this to me? They must have made that stain on purpose!β And sometimes he even lashes out on a guest that complained about something. He might also try to persuade guests in some cases to leave an extra good review, offering them things so business doesn't collapse. The Anode became a hostile work-place environment.
It's all that little valet parking thief's fault.
