I think all perspective parents should have to do a class before having children. Now no one would fail the class so it wouldn't prevent anyone from having kids but what it would do was show the reality of what it means to be a parent. A little snapshot of every life stage of having kids. Some kind of improv theatre program where we really hammer in the realities so parents make the informed decision to have children. Also we should force them to keep a (hand raised) adult rooster in their house for like a week. Dogs aren't good practice, you can train dogs too easily. Children aren't dogs to be trained. They're chickens, independent little guys who just exist independently from you no matter what you do.

That "can't love somebody else before you love yourself" thing was never about if love was possible, it was about if it was wise. You can very much love someone while hating yourself but will that love be healthy? Will that love last? It is unlikely.

I've noticed a difference in Japanese dramas versus other asian dramas is that the dreams of the characters are often smaller. A lot of the time they want a simple comfortable life. The sets are more realistic and closer to reality, the clothing is more average. Meanwhile Mainland Chinese dramas are epic, large, the dreams are far reaching and spectacular. South Korean dramas sit somewhere in the middle.

I think the "resentful woman" of ancient asian literature, of the woman scorned and haunting your after their deaths are meant to be a warning. A warning not just to the women who are the subjects of these tales, choose your husband correctly, but also to the men. Be kind. Be caring. Or else you will regret it.

Anyone have an suggestions of dramas about terrible and/or scheming women and the men who will burn the world down for them at their request? An example would be Dear X and (to a certain extent) Marry My Husband. They don't need to be evil women but just a woman with plans who manipulates people around them. Mainland Chinese dramas, South Korean Dramas, Japanese dramas or western shows all considered. I'm just craving that feeling of a well planned scheme all coming together plus devotion and obsession.

My favourite pet name in general I've heard is "love" but God all the variations of pet names Spike manages to come up with in BtVS is kinda impressive; impressive that I don't hate most of them. I usually hate pet names but somehow he makes them sound okay (except "pet" because, just as how I am not a infant, I am also not a domesticated animal).
