The definition for anyone who is curious

As I said with a similar ask, read through them separately and then consider how they might influence the core.

3 and 5 want different things.

The 3 wants to impress people. Go big or go home. Show off. Draw attention for the 4′s hard work. Express itself. The 3 is adaptable, willing to morph into what a situation requires. This makes the 4 more changeable, more aware of what the people around them value, and willing to strive toward that. They want to be known, appreciated, and valued for whatever the 4 most values -- so if you are a writer, and a 4w3, you want to be known as THE BEST writer the world has ever seen. You work hard at it. You share it. Because you want recognition. For others to praise and admire you. Whatever 4 feels is most ‘them’ the 3 wing wants to impress others with. Think Anne Shirley in the original miniseries and her enormous feelings and her passion for writing and how everyone hears about it, and how humiliated she is when others change her work and ‘improve it’ -- because it reflects on her as an author, and she hated the changes. Anne will adapt. Grow. Cares what people think.

The 5 wing feels it is never ready to draw attention to itself. It wants to live in a safe place, hidden and isolated from the outer world through being a continual student. It hides from the world. Usually behind “If I just learn one more thing...” It hordes its free time. It hordes its resources. It hordes its emotional state. It tries to stamp things down and ignore them. It values privacy. It can be stingy with itself. With sharing “of myself.” So the 4w5 is double withdrawn. Isolated. Tends toward more self doubt than the 4w3. But also more independence. 5 doesn’t care what others think much. So, the 4w5 does its own thing.

The 5 is also dark, where the 3 is sunny. 5s are fearful, 3s are ambitious. The 5 wing produces dark, twisted thoughts, the 3 wing great ambitions and ideas about high achievement. A 4w5 channels their pain, their identity, into what they create. But it’s usually just theirs. For them. Tim Burton creates what HE likes. Over and over. Think Mary Shelley. Writes a book about her pain, her feelings of abandonment and unraveling. Calls it Frankenstein.
