I'm Fae

When the mother and son were taken in first, Gin stayed back contently. Making sure they were taken care of until she couldn’t see them anymore. She then looked away and ahead before Vignette caught her attention again, making her look over. “Hm?” She made the noise through her nose before replying. She smirked a little, “I don’t like taking the sidelines.” She replied softly. “Back where I’m from, it’s my job to save people.” She then added and shoved her hands in the pockets of her coat. “I can’t just… let something like that happen when its unwarranted abuse. Just because someone is different and you don’t like them? That’s a coward and a bully.” She said a little bitterly. 

Her eyes drifted back to where the mother and Son were taken, and a few questions came up in her mind. Why would Vignette take her deeper into her culture like this? Granted, she didn’t know what restrictions Fae had for outsiders, but in her mind, if she was in her shoes, Gin wouldn’t show too much of her hand. Though she did start to catch the attention of the few fae that were hanging around here, for reasons she didn’t know, eventually, all eyes and attention was on her. 

Vignette nodded. “Good. We need less people who just watch.” She sounded a bit bitter, but she was. Life had been difficult for Vignette for a while now and sometimes it felt like humans in particular... were good at ignoring what wasn’t in their face. Or even what was. It was sad, lonely, and frustrating as hell. To meet someone who didn’t... was nice. “But it’s not somethin’ to get you friends in the Burgue. Be careful.” She told the strange human. It was obvious this woman had no only appeared out of nowhere, but this wasn’t even her same world, she kept staring at the Fae as if they weren’t every day people. 

Vignette glared at the people staring. A human was allowed to speak to a Mima. There was no rule against it. Hadn’t Philo gotten to speak to one? Many times? It was simply how afraid everyone was. A pretty female human was... trouble, usually. It meant someone had done something very wrong or somethin’ similar. She crossed her arms and her stance unintentionally widened just a little as she eyed the people staring. They looked away, the fierce little faerie too much to look at. 

.... that is the most adorable and disgusting idea ALL AT ONCE. Can it not be a Fish/Mole though? She’d totally be here for like... A rabbit/mole or a bird/mole (that would be hilariously adorable) or a rabbit/bird or... something less... completely disgusting.
