Hi guys I go by the name Xeverus, I’m a cosplayer and I love tokyo ghoul and just anime in general! <(^___^)> recently I found myself in a bit of a little depression and went back into all my arts and crafts abilities and I realized I’m not too bad at it and it’s very therapeutic for me. I also like helping others with how to make props and share my experience, hard work, and insight to make it easier for fellow cosplayers who wanna tackle something like this (*__*)

Well enough about me. here’s my list of required items and cost of each item as well.disclaimer - I’m in no way responsible for how awesome your kagune is going to turn out if you follow my d.i.y. guide it will be AWESOME!!! which I in no way shape or form take responsibility. No, but really please don’t hurt yourself HAHA ^(X___X)^

This was the outcome of my hard work and designing that I want to share with you guys!!

                                        List of Kagune ingredients (>o_o)>

1. Hot Glue gun - Very important (caution you will burn yourself so wear gloves haha) $1 @ MY LOCAL 99C STORE

2.   100 pack of Hot Glue Sticks $7 @ Walmart (Ended up using  95 hot glue sticks in this project but its my first hot glue project so forgive me)

3. 2X Packs of 18x12 craft foam 12pc each ( not sure on mm size but they are thin ^(*__*)> ) $8 PER PACK @ MICHEALS arts & crafts store (each pack will provide you with enough kagune scales for two tentacles hehe)

4. 2X Monster Water Noodles ( 57" size length ) $4 each @ Sports Authority (could have used a regular smaller size noodle would prolly save you foam and glue)

5. 1x  1" Cross plastic coupling (can be found in most plumbing areas of home depot or lowes hardware these are the ones I used) $1.67 @ Lowes Hardware ;3

6. 4x  3/4" straight couplings(same area as the previous coupling just make sure they fit into the 1" cross like a lego piece this will make the base where you’ll shove and glue the noodles into)

$0.92c each @ Lowes Hardware

7.   25’ copper wire (6 gague I believe) $15 @ Lowes Hardware (this will make your noodles keep their shape so you can BEND THEM TO YOUR WILL!!! aahh j/k but no really buy this (^___^) )

8.  1x Red spray Paint (shade of red is really up to you guys haha ^_^ ) $5 @ Walmart Superstore

9. Painters tape $3 at Lowes Hardware

10. X-acto knife or Scissors ( to cut your foam duh! :3 either will work I recommend the x-acto knife its easier just please be careful) $5 @ MICHEALS arts and crafts

11. Ruler (to measure your craft foam for cutting :3) $1 @ 99c store

12. MARKER OR PEN (TO MAKE YOUR CUTTING LINES) $1 @ 99c store

13. Pliers (to bend & cut the ends of your copper wire skeleton)

when you realize that it’s a commentary on racial and gender stereotyping and how it can create harmful stigmas and how those stigmas can cause people to be ignorant and dangerous towards others or how it can effect minorities
