I think it's insane that even in the most leftist and "progressive" spaces the idea of equating morality with looks is alive and present and no one fucking bats an eye at it. like racists and mysoginysts are always portrayed as fat and hairy and generally unkept, as a contrast to the morally good and attractive leftists of course; people will have no problem being genuinely fucking awful about someone's appearance if they're deemed to be a "bad person". and the worst part is you point all of this out and people act like you're reading too much into things like no dude you gotta start using your brain more

the thing is everyone wants both an emotional girlfriend and a sex girlfriend and when you're typecast as the emotional girlfriend you repeatedly get replaced when they find a sex girlfriend and have to suffer a few weeks of feeling like an unlovable piece of shit until they come crawling back to your dms like "so heyyy... she DIDN'T wanna talk about the character complexity of yugioh 5Ds can you believe it"

i hope this doesn't come across as disparaging to the sex girlfriend, who is, if anything, a more powerful and self sufficient human being because she says things like "actually, i don't want you to play toys At me for hours on end" -- it's just that the emotional girlfriend loves to continuously step on rakes and bend herself backwards for the interests and needs of an individual who has decided to dripfeed her attention and affection in between saying inane shit that doesn't engage with her as a phsyical human being at all

i also hope this doesn't come across as disparaging to yugioh 5ds. i like yugioh 5ds. the only thing i don't like mentioned in this post is myself.
