Sweet Despair

Normally I’d be bummed about not walking in two fashion week seasons back-to-back but I’m actually not bothered by it this time around. Maybe it’s because I have Jules and Jette to keep me busy or maybe it’s the shit ton of wedding planning I still have left to do that’s keeping me distracted but at this point, I think I’ll be a little disappointed when I have to get back to work.

When you’re keeping busy with two newborns and a wedding, work probably should be the last thing on your mind. I wish I could’ve stayed home longer than I did when I had Madison and Rowan but I pretty much had to get back to work so enjoy all your time with them while you can.

That’s all I keep doing but it still feels a little weird. Maybe I should branch out and do something different.

That’s a good idea! If your regular interests haven’t really been doing it for you then doing something you’ve never done before or rarely do should do the trick.

I’ve been back for two months now and I still feel so out of place. Outside of working, I have no idea what to do with myself or who to go out with. I’m officially at a temporary life standstill.

Going out with friends often should help you shake that feeling. My friends have gotten me out of that plenty of times before.

I think I’m finally starting to get a hang on this new mom thing. I’m not worrying about not being a good mom anymore and my hours of sleep have improved. I mean, I still get just a couple of hours but it’s more than what I started with and any sort of progress is good, right?

It took me forever to get just a couple of hours of sleep so I think you can count that as amazing progress for sure.

Can you help with the dresses? Kendall had some picked out that were her favorite for the bridesmaids but I don’t think I’d be cut out for that particular task.

Yeah, no problem. Did you want me to just meet up with the girls and check everything out?

Ari: Hiiii. Currently bored out of my mind. Wanna do something?

I really do. I would very much appreciate some help at this point, Vivi. That would be great.

Alright. Well, what do you need?

Vic: It was no problem! I'm glad u guys hit it off so well.

Ari: Me too. I had /no/ idea what to expect you know? But he was so nice and sweet and I can't wait to get back because we're supposed to meet up again.

Ari: Okay. I never thanked you for setting me up on that blind date last week. SO THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I owe you immensely!!!

Here’s something I’ve discovered this week: planning a wedding and also taking care of twins pretty much all on my own is definitely as hard as, if not harder than, it sounds.
