It’s kind of sad that i cant recall a time when people’s opinions wouldn’t be shouted at for exsisting. I apologize to the artist for all the discourse on their post, it wasn’t really nessecary, but I suppose some people just really like to make everything into drama. @sahdmadhi

@sahdmadhi is a good friend and i believe she has nothing but good intentions. I guess this is a good time for me to speak up about the matter. Even though I stay quiet about the discourse, i am very much aware that it is happening (happened? I hope its passed) and I saw how bad it became and it disappointed me greatly. Having opinions is okay! and I appreciate everyone for liking my art, but I only wish people would stop negating other people’s interests but would instead enjoy their own!

Art is open for people’s interpretations, but i believe what @sahdmadhi only wanted to convey was that we can’t be too sure of what the artist’s original intention for the art may be, yes? words are easily thrown around especially because we’re on the internet but they all have effects, good and bad. I hope this all ends soon, because i’d really want to continue to enjoy this series and share it with everyone. Very sorry for the lengthy post~

Being conscious of the opinions you put on reblogs, especially those of art, is important. Artists thrive off of comments a lot of the time so tagged and reblog comments are bound to be seen. It’s important to remain respectful of the artist (especially if the art doesn’t have a lot of commentary to it.)

Defnitely go on private chats and express your opinions in a private space if you think something contrary about a post on tumblr, especially if it’s ship related. But when things like this happen they can get ugly fast in the public sphere of tumblr.
