been seeing far too many ppl talking about ICE detaining black citizens in chicago going "where are they going to send them back to?????" like you have severely missed every single warning sign that you've been given and deeply misunderstood what's happening. this was never about sending anyone "back" it's about murdering them and/or using them for labor. the fact that you can get this far into this and think ICE just wanted to send latines "back" is fucking crazy please read something. anything.

and like it makes the lukewarm fucking response to this shit make sense bc these people genuinely thought that they were just sending people back to their country of origin like. oh okay so you didn't believe us when we said we were getting detained and disappeared and killed. you just thought it was a kind of sad thing but ultimately not that bad. you really didn't listen when we said this was going to start happening to everyone the government deems undesirable regardless of citizenship. right. of course you didn't care.

this is also why it bothers me when ICE seizes a native person and people joke about "ICE is so stupid, where do they think they're going to send them?" ICE is not stupid. they know exactly what they're doing. this is just a continuation of the ongoing genocide of indigenous americans. it's always been about getting rid of, by whatever means, whoever they don't want, which is non-white people. it's not an accident, it's all intentional

PrEP definitely goes high on my list of "most significant and undersung inventions". its borderline a miracle drug, its cheap as piss and it has basically no side effects and 'it just works'

PrEP has less side effects than the birth control pill. I know it's stigmatised but you really, really should be on PrEP if you are having anal sex or sex with anyone who has anal sex, or if you otherwise engage in 'high risk for HIV' sexual behaviours or have sex with anyone who does. You really will not notice any side effects after the first two weeks. americans, you should be able to get it for free if you can find a clinic in the know.
