Hot Wire
Words: 2.9k. Warnings: Alcohol consumption, swearing, smut, smut, smut. Notes: This is my first time writing for Warfare, just wrote what came. This has nothing to do with the real person, just Cosmo Jarvis in the movie with the name 'Elliot'. That's it. That's all.
If you couldn't see Elliot's truck parked right outside your house through the window, you would have assumed the person knocking on the door was trying to escape a chainsaw-wielding murderer and had chosen your bungalow as their place to hide.Â
Excessive and urgent, Elliot's fist rapped against the door. A door he had adjusted the hinges on last summer. A door he had walked through countless times. A door he had a key to. Words failed to explain just how irritated he was that he had knock before entering into his own home, but his fist was doing an exceptional job.
His hand fell through the air as you finally opened the door, exposing a small foyer that looked foreign to him for a moment since it didn't have his shoes or bag thrown on the floor.
âElliot, what are you -â
âWhy the hell did you call Erik to fix the house?â The question flew out of his mouth, spit sputtering behind it.Â
Independent Studies [Gally x Reader]
Words: 2k. Summary: You have taken on a new role in the Safe Haven and it has Gally's attention.
Note: This was an idea I have had for a while. I think this could be a series. I have a second part in mind that could be smutty, but could also just be sweet. Some feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.
Someone referred to them as âthe Lost Childrenâ, the many kids rescued from WICKED headquarters who wandered around the Safe Haven with fear wordless on their tongues, but wonder flashing in their eyes. It could be hard to watch them as they tried to piece together a new life with even less certainty than the timorous adults around them who were mostly making it up as they go. Vince suggested you take on a teacher role for them.Â
âEveryoneâs role is important here, but maybe thatâs what youâre being called to doâŚâ He countered when you worried that you would be leaving the other cooks high and dry.Â
At first, you rounded up all the kids in the morning by the water for walks. The lesson was simple: familiarize yourself with your surroundings and ask questions.Â
âWhy is the water salty?â, âWhy arenât the sun and the moon in the sky at the same time?â, âWhen can we stop walking?âÂ
Sometimes their questions required your own research, setting you up to be the student around the bonfire with others at night. It became clear to Vince that you were going to need an actual classroom. Rocks on the beach could only cut it for so long.Â
Photopsias [Gally x Reader]
Pairings: Gally x Reader. Word Count: 1k
Summary: Gally hates change. [Angst]
Notes: I haven't written in a while.
He was restless. Tossing and turning beside you and constantly ripping the thin blanket from your body. Usually with exhausted bones and a full-ish stomach, Gally was out like a light as if the prospect of nightmares didnât exist. Tonight was different. You knew the arrival of Thomas, and the changes he brought along with him, had irked Gally. Still, it was strange for him to be up all night.
âIâm going for a walk.â He grumbled in one low huff.Â
âDo you want some company?â Through a yawn, you asked. The question held Gally in place. He stopped pulling his shirt over his head for a second and stood still, contemplating.Â
Once his brown shirt was on, he brought his chin to his shoulder, looking back at you in his bed in the hut he had just recently built for only the two of you, and nodded sheepishly like a little kid embarrassed that they were still afraid of the dark.Â
Couverture [Gally x Reader]
Pairings: Gally x Reader. Word Count: 435.
Plot: A whole lot of firsts to experience now that they are out of the Glade. [Mentions of smut. No actual smut. Happy Gally. Fluff!]
Lopsided and large, a slaphappy smile had taken over Gallyâs face as you pulled him away from his friends as soon as the bonfire had begun. Earlier, when you were eating dinner with everyone else in the Safe Haven, you whispered to Gally while his mouth was full that you had a surprise for him.Â
Once far enough away from the group, you led Gally into one of the tents. He helped himself to a made cot, legs extended over the edge, and parted with room for you. He figured he was about to be treated to a sequel from the other night. His hands were impatient as they fiddled with the button of his pants.
âClose your eyes.â You hummed. Gally did not need to be told twice.

Benny Miller and 216 - We were in bed when you called. (but the 'we' refers to their pet or kid, because we are here for happy feelings today - not angst)
This took a minute. Thank you for your patience! Fluffy lil Benny Miller drabble.
An impossibly tight squeeze from your bladder had woken you up. It was the only thing that could coax you out your comfortable bed that you never meant to fall asleep in in the first place. The sun had still been pouring in through the window when you came into the room to change out of your work clothes and into the comfortable fleece pajama pants that you wished you could get away with at the office. How you had gone from sitting on the edge of the bed putting on pants to fast asleep on top of the covers, you would never know. The bedroom was pitch black now, the glow of orange lamplight outside not even breaking through.
As you stood up off the bed, you found your cell phone on the night stand and checked your phone for the time. 11:18 PM. You had been out of it for four and a half hours and collected a missed call, two 'Are you OK' texts from your boyfriend, and a long winded message from your best friend in the midst of family drama.Â

âwhy are you tugging my hair?â ben miller drabble
Originally wrote this years ago for a different person, but rewrote with Benny in mind. Just a cute, fluffy drabble.Â
Benny always fell asleep first. With the exception of when he was worked up and upset, he tended to drift off as soon as his head made contact with the pillow regardless of if you two were at his place or yours. Neither of you could pinpoint the exact moment, but you had practically moved into his apartment a few months ago. Right now, however, you wished you were in your own room with the lights on and the comfort of your childhood plush cat.
As the wind howled against Bennyâs bedroom window, your heart beat quickened. You tried to âaccidentallyâ wake up your boyfriend by adjusting your arms to knock into his chest or squirm enough that it disrupted him. Benny was out cold though, snoring on occasion as a sign that he was still alive. Eventually, you stopped playing coy and shoved his shoulder with actual force. He moaned slightly, but refused to fully wake up. Twice, you hissed his name and then tugged on a wayward chunk of hair in front of his eyes.
âWhat? What? Whatâ Benny snapped and opened wide, ready for anything at a momentâs notice. It was a residual effect of all his time in special forces. Once actually awake, he reached instinctively for his hair with shut eyes. âWhy are you tugging my hair?â

I know all your names.
âhow much is a lot?â will miller drabble
Drabble based off a prompt from a list below. I apologize for the lack of âkeep readingâ link. It wasnât working out.Â
He hated when you walked away, but you werenât sure you would stay composed if you stood in front of him anywhere with your eyes wide and mouth open in evident surprise. Wasnât he just saying a couple weeks ago that he was finally feeling settled? You left Will silent in the kitchen, right hand thrusted out of frustration into the pocket of his jeans while you pretended to try and collect yourself in the bedroom.Â
You werenât actually making an effort to be composed though. Instead, you were mumbling small groans of confusion on your side of the bed while taking out your earrings. They were small gold studs, the first gift Will ever gave you. Almost 4 years ago, silently leaving the box on the bathroom sink of the apartment youâd been renting on your own at the time. He was so nonchalant about it that you didnât notice the little black box by your toothpaste all day until he had to prompt you to go look. You wore them almost every day, but you needed something to do or else your hands would be left right now to furiously remove the pillows from the bed and toss them across the room.
Will sighed as he settled his side against the door frame. He had given you a minute to yourself, but it had felt like eons as he paced through the kitchen and pantomimed cleaning the counter. He wrinkled his brows together as he saw you taking out your earrings. What did that mean?Â
âIt could lead to a lot of money, babe.â Slow and confident, as if he was wrapping up one of his professional speeches, he told you.Â
While you werenât looking over at him yet, he had your attention.Â
âHow much is a lot?â Money was a pink elephant in the room. You two rarely outright spoke about it, but the stress of combined bills at the end of every month was silently felt between you both.
âIt would cover your student loans.â Will checked the space between his socked feet and then back to you. He hoped that nugget would bring your eyes to him again. âAnd then someâ
It took you long to pipe up and you felt that, but the idea of never feeling the hot force of student loans pushing into your shoulders every month was momentarily enticing. He knew that. A man of few words, Will Miller wouldnât have brought it up otherwise.
âIf the choice is between having huge debt for years or you going off and potentially  being shot at again? I am always going to choose debt. Always.â Conviction cracking your voice, you finally looked at him in disbelief that you would have to say that. The obvious sadness pouring through you coaxed him over the threshold and into the room with you. âI just thought that was finally behind us.â He had a new routine now. He was on a sleep medication that worked. He wasnât feeling isolated in a crowd anymore. The idea of him going back, even for one last job, felt like pissing all over that progress. You didnât doubt that you two could do it again, but the idea didnât set off fireworks.  Hands between your knees, you sighed as he cautiously sat by you on the bedâs edge.
âItâs for Pope. Itâs an easy job.â He said as if either fact was reassuring. His right hand came to the back of your head, fondly strumming through locks of hair. âI donât want to go with my girl pissed at me.â Will admitted what you already knew, his thumb moving hair away to graze over the empty spot on your ear where the gold stud had been.Â
Part of you wanted to tell him again not to go, just as you had when you were both still in the kitchen, but you felt his eyes on your profile, fingers soft in your hair and on your skin, and you inhaled to reset - finally feeling closer to composed.Â
âIâm not pissed.â Your shoulder met his chest as you leaned in with trust, deflating against him. He wasnât asking for your permission nor did he require it. It was your support that Will wanted as per usual. âIâm always going to worry about you, but Iâm also always going to be in your corner.â It was a promise, one that you both were always reminding the other of. Will bowed his head over yours, breathing in the soft scent of sea salt shampoo before protectively closing his hand over the side of your face that wasnât up to his chest. Finally, he could breathe a sigh of relief. The last thing he wanted was for you to go to sleep angry at him.
