(via Give people the freedom of where to work - Richard's Blog - Virgin.com) I just love the way this man thinks.
Agreed. We just dont work the way we used to and we need to add in down-time and rest in throughout the day. Sustainable efforts, especially those of creative minds require a work/life balance.

Facts vs. the Old Boys Club. It'll be a battle for sure.
Yes! Someone out there gets this recognition thing.
A great talk if you are interested in Gamification, motivation, loss aversion.... this guy knows his stuff.
The change in education is happening now. It's about time.
Mr. Kirk does a good job stating the issues with gamification. Badges for badges sake don't make for sustainable programs. #BadgeVomiting

Google just put augmented reality/Gamification into the spotlight. Nice!

Adaptive learning, what a concept!
The understatement of the day! I agree completely and think that the amount of time spent in cubes, meetings an in front of the TV is not only killing us but making us unhappy on a number of levels. We need to move. The odds of Corporate America addressing this are pretty much 0 in the next 10 years.
The MOOC isn't coming, it's here!
This is a really interesting market and one that mimics the micro-task, micro-creation and desktop creation worlds. I heard someone talk about the future of products being customized and in smaller runs if not just one-offs. I think that is coming true.

Another inspirational TED talk. I've seen a few studies that speak to the power of contemplating death as a motivator for happiness and life purpose. Pretty cool to see it in action. (via Candy Chang: Before I die I want to... | Video on TED.com)
