Being dead is not an option

I think it was hilarious that the drug transport through Germany was diverted due to TÜV.

You know the obvious reasons: validation, appreciation, feedback, encouragement.

But there is one more reason, and I think it even gained importance:

… if you don't comment, the bots win.

Think about it: The author receives an mail, when someone comments. And imagine what happens if in a fandom with low interaction the only mails are about ... I'll draw this for money.... I'll tell your boss what you do in your free time... you suck... you're sick...this is all AI garbage. Comments so long that you first think: wow someone made an effort. Only to read... well.

If an author has written just for the fun of it up to now, they now get actively demotivated. They stop writing. The bot has won, the fandom has one active voice less.

It is difficult and the recent maintenance has lowered the bot comments, but they will be back. So, if you have been a passive reader, maybe now is a good time to start commenting and help cancelling out the negative.

Well - now I will try to find my muse again.
