Someone asked me a question after about 13 years.
It had been a while, and still even being a child. I did think of her in all my years getting older.
I didn't realize she had thought of me too.
I spent so much time not having a voice, so much time spent trying to figure it out.
So when she asked me "what did you do all those years alone by yourself?"
I didn't know how to reply
So I simply said
What?
And she again said
" I've been meaning to ask you all these years, what did you do everyday being by yourself growing up. That must have been hard. I just wanted to know what you did to get by."
Still I didn't know how to answer.
I felt like it was somewhat of a trick question.
But I responded
"you just do what you gotta do, I'm not really sure."
When I was at my most alone.
Not including now.
Someone was actually thinking of me, and actually saw me for what it was.
And that was a moment of true validation.
Honey smack
Lips blushed , cheeks flushed , chills down my spine.
Rewind
Chills down my spine ,Cheeks flushed., lips blushed
all down the hatch
sour like lime
Honey smack-in right
Wife beater
Wait
No rings on wedding fingers
intertwined
Now pull the trigger
Honey smack
so good
Don't wanna be a sinner
Small talks with dinner
Go figure
Locked lips
Eyes glimmer
Gold n Honey shimmer
Honey smack

Im working, you see me bring a wine for your date.
You (wise guy) decide to yell across the room.
"Margarita!
Yeah I want a margarita"
So I bring a margarita.
Then (wise guy) says.
"I didn't ask for this! I don't drink"
I say "well when you yelled across the room margarita, I assumed it was the drink"
Wise guy: no I want a margherita pizza!
With the slouched over, curved back , elbows on the table, sucking the flavor off the fingers, loud, legs crossed... attitude.
Me : "cool got it"
Am I being unreasonable here?
Thanks...
Trust me. While I give you a reason not to trust me . And then tell you ... You can trust me.
It's like taking the subway is an express train to the love of your life or the end of love. You'll never know until you get there. Or if you get there. Trains get delayed and they change they're mind. Can't see you anymore. Now you're stuck with a commute back, and a whole lot of thinking... what went wrong? Blaming the train instead of blaming yourself for choosing someone who only wants you when its convenient.
Inconvenience decides who is worth your commute.
