Veronica was out of it today. She tried to stay focused during class but nothing was sticking. Her mind kept wandering, her eyes kept watering until eventually, the bell rang and she was the first to get up and storm out of class. Unlucky for her, she walked straight into a passer-by. Feet, legs, abdomen, torso, face, eyes- oh. Once she made eye contact she quickly looked back down to the ground. “Oh- u-um..”, she stuttered a bit before taking a deep breath, she really wasn’t expecting anyone to still stand there after she had averted eye contact. “Watch where you’re going.” She stated, her anger almost coming out of nowhere.
