Calendar and Holidays of Disney Town
There are 169 days in a year, and 6 months in the year. Each month contains at least one festival.
There are 26 days in the month
1st- New Years. On this day, there are fireworks and a large banquet in the castle throne room. The banquet lasts from lunch until sundown; guests eat food, swap stories, and play games together. After the banquet is when the firework show starts.
14th- Sweetheart Nights. A day to celebrate couples and romance. Many people choose to get married on this day, and those who don’t will usually have a romantic lunch date. At night, there is a large dance in the plaza where everyone wears themed clothing. The theme is chosen by the queen and is different every year.
There are 30 days in the month
28th- Festival of Dreams. A day to celebrate your dreams and the dreams of others. People apply to run a game or stall of their choosing as a way to share something they love with others. And people vote on who is the kindest and most helpful person, someone who supports the dreams of others. The winner of the vote will receive a prize, and the prize differs from year to year.
There are 25 days in the month
13th- Food and Wine Festival. People make food and set up their own little shop outside their home. Rather than spend money, people swap goods with each other. And those who maybe aren’t the best at cooking, they display their own talents by traveling around town singing, playing music, or doing some other talent in exchange for food.
There are 31 days in the month
4th- Festival of Lights. To celebrate the light of summer, people stay up all night. On this night, there are fireworks, lanterns, and other lights fill the town so that it is nearly as bright as day. There are races and sports games in and around town on this day.
There are 29 days in the month
29th- Halloween. A spooky day where people dress up in costumes and play pranks on each other. People pass out candy to those in costumes, and some open their homes to invite people inside to make their own candy.
There are 28 days in the month
25th- Christmas. By this point snow has begun to fall in Disney Town. The week of Christmas there is a festival where people give away hot chocolate, cakes, and other baked goods. On Christmas Eve, there is a large parade through town, and a large performance is put on in the plaza. The performance is usually a reenactment of a big event from the year. On Christmas Day people feast and swap presents with friends and family.
