May crisis stops to rule our lives and gives us the chance to emancipate from whatever keeps us down.

I slowly emerge from my new year's slumber and start to answer all messages that have accumulated here. My shop is still closed until I figured out this year's new regulations and shipping fees.

Did you know that there is a natural occurring white population of rat snakes near the Japaneses City of Iwakuni? They are called シロヘビ (shiro hebi) and revered as messengers of deities and guardians of mountains and rivers. If you see a white snake in Japanese media, it's thanks to them.

I am very happy to announce that my artwork "Dance in the dust" won the audience choice award for paleoart at the Visual Conference For Women Archaelogists And Paleontologists (VCWAP).

While the artwork did not convince the jury of the Bromacker Paleoart Contest for which is was originally created I am really happy that the audience of the congress found my art award worthy.🎉

Back in december I had the chance to visit the Geoskop Museum and catch a quick glimpse at Stenokranio boldi and other specimen yet to be described.

Real geek talk here: there is nothing more exciting than discoveries in the making.

The leftover bandabas are now in my shop!

The first corner design features the Muschelkalk findings

Nothosaurus, Sea lilies and Ammonites. While the other corner design harbors fossils from the Bromacker Lagerstätte. Skulls of Orobates, ferns, a mysterious track called Tambia spiralis and footprints of early tetrapods.

The middle of the design features finds from the paleolithic fossil site of Bilzingsleben. Besides fossils of cave lions, rhinoceros and straight-tusked elephants, the site features early human remains and primitive tools.

Here is my little catalogue for next weeks paleontology conference in Jena, Germany.

I have folders, broshures, game concepts, LOTS OF STICKERS (for your stationary, fossil crates, helmets and so on) and bandanas featuring local fossils and Lagerstätten.

Here is a little Chemnitzion that I drew in the train yesterday.

Chemnitzion is a temnospondyl from the lower permian. Like the name said, it was found in chemnitz, specifically the chemnitz petrified forest.

My quick study of Futabasaurus, I did this winter. And the original mount at the museum of nature and science Tokyo.

Velozee is going to Japan.

Last year, I created a trading card game concept featuring local paleo fauna of different formations. I want to produce a professional set this year and maybe an English edition as well.
