Enjoying the last warm days! Never know when the cold comes in to stay.

As soon as I opened the balcony door, Hero ran straight out and started rolling around on the warm tiles of the balcony. It was amazingly warm for the first time this year, around 24°C / 75°F.

Leo ran out after Hero, giving him a nosy.

Little Sonic and Lily were outside as well of course. The only one missing in these pics is Lisa, because she was still asleep.

Since it was so warm, I had the windows open too. The street side window is especially nice during summer afternoons, because it's in the shade, with a steady breeze coming in. The cats always enjoy watching the street and see what's going on out there.

They're not the only kitties around. Right above our apartment are two more cats, who also hang out at the window. Across the street from us, a bit more to the left is a ginger kitty, who also hangs out at the window regularly. There is also a bird feeder on the 2nd floor of the yellowish building with the green door across from us. So there is always some bird-TV going on for the cats.

A little later, the sky started darkening and the sound of thunder could be heard in the distance, coming closer.

I took a video of the non-stop thunder that was going on for about an hour:

It looked and sounded a lot worse than what we got in the end. The worst part of the storm passed us by, but other areas got it badly.

In the end, it was a light thunderstorm, but the rain held on for quite a while. Little Sonic and Lily watched the raindrops hit the window. The other cats slept through the whole thing.

Hero loves to get into the drawers. The toolbox below is there to prevent him from opening two drawers with more delicate things in it and also, to help him get up to the higher drawers, since he can't jump high, due to his missing right back leg.

Once he's in the drawer, he attempts to help me by sorting through them and make it all "Hero-tidy". He also throws out what he thinks should be thrown out apparently.

Hero taught the 3 siblings Little Sonic, Leo, and Lily how to open the drawers right in the beginning when they first came as kittens. And so of course, they join Hero in "helping". In this second pic, it's little Sonic who has joined in.

Here is Leo, he was helping to get the dried clothes off the drying rack. Of course, he had to rest a little in between the hard work. Totally understandable.
