✰ He’s also not that touchy. At the start of the relationship it took awhile before he would hold you while the two of you laid together. Now, he just prefers affection to be private. Hand holding is as far as he will go. It’s not that he’s embarrassed or anything, he just doesn’t think work time is PDA time. When you go out to dinner he can handle cheek kisses and small side hugs. 

✰ You, on the other hand, are the exact opposite. Everything is funny to you. Stuff that isn't even that funny has you dying on the floor. You also love showing affection in public. A lot of women look at Miguel, he is an attractive man after all, so why not show that he’s simply not available. 

✰ Some people would say that it wasn’t a good mix but they couldn’t be more wrong. Sometimes your inability to take anything serious did bug him a bit and the public affection wasn’t his cup of tea but you were currently the best thing in his life. The light in the dark. Your laughter eased his stress and your kisses made his heart flutter. Every. Time. He loved you, truly. 

✰ On this particular day, Miguel was outside washing his car. Soapy water pouring down the black vehicle. You came outside to see if he needed anything and as he assured you he didn’t you turned to go back inside. Almost immediately you felt the cold water hit your back and Miguel let out a laugh.

✰ Usually, people get mad about stuff like that but hearing Miguel laugh about it only made you smile and gain the bright idea to retreat into the house and Miguel thought that was that but you had different intentions. 

✰ You got out a cup from the cabinet and turned the sink on to fill it up. Obviously Miguel wouldn’t let you get your hands on the hose, he’s smarter than that. So you took the cup outside on the ploy that it was a nice drink for your lovely boyfriend. By this point he had put the hose away and was in the yard. Perfect. 

✰ You walk over to him, cup in hand, and give him a side hug. Attempting to make some small talk to make your intentions seem innocent. As you listened to him talk you raised the hand with the cup and splashed the water out, not looking to see if it even made contact with him you threw the cup down and made a beeline for the door but it was too late. Miguel scooped you up into his arms and carried you to the pool.

✰ “Miguel!” you could shout and plead all you wanted to but it would just fall on deaf ears. 

✰ “You think that was funny, huh? I’ll give you something to laugh about.” That was the last thing you heard before you were surrounded by bubbles and chlorinated water. 

✰ When you surfaced Miguel was waiting for you by the later and when you swam over he gave you a hand to take so he could help you out.
