I understand that most people want their pet to love them and want to spend time with them but I've had people in my life who think it's so tragic if I mention that one of my pets doesn't love me or even like me. It's always like. Dude. If I was worried about my pets not ever really liking me I wouldn't have adopted a bird so aggressive that the owner wanted it euthanized (Chester). Or a senior feral cat that nobody had ever been able to touch (Petunia). As long as they're content I'm fine with it. And if they eventually decide we're friends it's just a nice little bonus
