Wanted to ask if scar can only turn into animals he knows/know what they look like? Can he turn into like a dragon or smth? Or anything else mythical like that?

hello... i typed a really long answer to this but tumblr decided to eat it. so here i go again 😭

I like to think that yes, Scar can only turn into animals he knows of... That being said, he doesn't reclaim their instincts or behaviors, he kinda just copies what he's seen them do... Everything else he just makes up as he goes, meaning that if you see a penguin flying out in the street, you're either hallucinating or that's your good ol shapeshifter critter at it again. That's what Grian's learned from experience, anyway... He is a biology major .. hehe ...

As for mythical creatures, they'd be kinda hard to replicate in a way that looks realistic, so Scar usually strays away from it lest it look like some sort of abomination. I imagine cgi would do the job though... Scar could probably shapeshift into a cgi dragon... let's hope dat kitty doesn't find out about movies .....
