-Slimes can be pretty much much any color, the two main factors that dictate it though are genetics and food.
-Green slime parents will always mark a green kid, unless they have the recessive genes for blue or purple for example
The way genes work when it comes to color is this red>orange>yellow>green>blue>purple. So red is the most common, and purple the least of the base colors.
Though there are codominant colors. They can appear at the same time as a slime body’s base color. Said colors are pink, teal, indigo, white, black, brown. They‘re always happy to share a space with the base colors.
As for patterns, slime genetics when it comes to patterns their codominant colors can take are random. At least from scientist knowledge due to a lot of genes acting at the same time it’s hard to predict what pattern is the most common or not.
Basically a free for all on how patterns, so a slime person can look like they wear mittens and socks, or even a fancy mustache.
There are times where two base colors can appear at the same time. It’s rare but it happens. When it does slimes can look half n half, or just have some splotches, or the colors mixed together.
-Food can also change a slime’s color, but only when they’re babies since that’s when they’re more malleable. Depending on how much they eat of a certain think it can affect their undertone only. It will never change their base color
As an example, it’s common for slimes to have an orange undertone due to eating lots of mush carrots as babies
-As soon as slimes are around a year old food stops affecting their undertone.
-All species age pretty much the same, having similar lifespans.
-When they get older though their body stops being as flexible and easy to extend or shorten. So they usually take medication so they don’t feel crusty and stiff all the time
Typically that happens when a slime gets closer to their late 60s early 70s. Unless they got really unlucky in the genetics lottery
They don’t like become stone as they get older, it’s more of their insides just aren’t as malleable as they use to be.
-Also before I forget I must state, slimes can not force themselves into being a puddle of goo on the ground or super big they’re like a wall.
-Slimes are basically just more stretchier humans. They can change their height and how big certain parts of them are based off how much weight they have on their body though. It’s like if they want smaller hips they can move all that mass from there to their hands or chest for example.
-But they can’t get rid of said weight, the only way they can is by exercising or reducing how much food they were eating if they were power feeding themselves. (Power feeding is a term I learned from snake videos, basically it means that they feed themselves a lot fast so they can get bigger faster)
Another example Xeno ate a lot of food growing up to gain weight, so he can use that mass to make himself taller. That way he matched the rest of his adopted family’s height. He still eats that much too maintain that height.
-Of course though every slime is different, they come in a range of different body types and sizes naturally. Everyone is different with how well their body retains mass or not.
Traditionally in slime culture bigger bodies are seen as more beautiful. Especially since it means they have more stuff they can mess with.
As a culture slimes tend to be more confident because of the fact that they can make their body how they want. To have their bodies be how they see themselves if they have enough mass to do so.
-They are more susceptible to weather though especially heat. So slimes bundle up a lot for the cold, or for the heat use sun umbrellas, wet towels, little fans, anything and everything to protect them from the sun. 
The cold makes them feel stiff, while the heat just makes them feel sick and sticky. It’s never a fun time.
Many slimes prefer colder countries up north than the hot ones of the south if they had to choose one end.
-Slimes’s hair basically grows and acts like any one else’s hair. Though their hair usually comes in thick big strands. They can be more wavy, coily, curly, or straight but the strand of hair will always be big and thick.
-The only time that their hair comes in thinner strands are usually in mixed races like Colt for example. Or in general someone who had a different species in their ancestry it’s not always for sure, but it happens.
